The MateBook X Pro 2024 has been introduced as part of Huawei’s latest product lineup unveiled globally on May 7. This premium laptop, powered by Intel Meteor Lake processors, is set to hit selected markets outside China.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 boasts a 3.2K touch-enabled OLED screen and a sleek overall design. Positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Apple MacBook Air, this model offers premium features that could potentially outshine its competitor. The touch-enabled 14.2-inch OLED screen offers a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and delta E > 0.1.
Build and Performance
Weighing under 1kg (specifically 980g), the MateBook X Pro 2024 is available in black, white, and Morandi blue color options. Its CNC-milled unibody chassis mirrors that of the MacBook Air. The laptop’s internal setup adopts a three-segment PCB design, creating more room for essential components and enhanced cooling. Noteworthy improvements include a 22% increase in airflow and reduced noise in comparison to previous models. The Intel Meteor Lake processors, such as the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, power this device. Additionally, it features the Intel Arc iGPU, with configurations offering up to 32GB of memory and 2TB of storage.
Features and Connectivity
Equipped with a 1080p camera featuring a physical privacy shutter and Windows Hello functionality, the MateBook X Pro 2024 also incorporates a Thunderbolt 4.0 port (2x) and a single USB-C port. Supporting WiFi 6E, Huawei mentions that certain functionalities, although initially disabled, can be activated through future software updates. The laptop houses a 72Wh battery supporting 90W charging through USB-C in specific regions and 65W in others.
