Smartwatch Update
In addition, the company has also updated its high-end smartwatch in its primary market. The new Watch Ultimate Design comes just two months after the Watch Ultimate 2, which featured a ceramic bezel and back, combined with a zirconium front case, a sapphire crystal front, and impressive 150-meter waterproofing (20 ATM). While the latest Watch Ultimate Design shares many design elements with the Watch Ultimate 2, it incorporates 18ct gold to set it apart.
Display and Performance
The Watch Ultimate Design seems to maintain the same 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display. Consequently, Huawei’s new smartwatch offers a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits; however, it only has a refresh rate of 60 Hz. On the other hand, the Kirin W80 chipset is reported to provide up to 11 days of battery life in power-saving mode or 3 days with the always-on display option activated. Huawei has not specified the battery capacity, though.
Connectivity and Features
Ignoring that detail, the new Watch Ultimate Design features LTE, UWB, and BeiDou satellite connectivity, along with a health suite that can perform an ECG, track skin temperature, and deliver a health summary in about 60 seconds. The new Extraordinary Master Purple Gold edition weighs in at around 80.9 g without its strap and has a case size of 48.3 mm.
