Honor is reportedly developing the Magic 7 series smartphones, following the recent launch of its Magic V3 and Magic Vs 3 foldable phones. A recent report indicated that the Magic 7 series might come with a substantial 6,000mAh battery. Now, tipster @RODENT950 on X (formerly Twitter) has shared additional insights regarding the series.
Camera Configuration
According to the tipster, the Magic 7 series will boast a triple-camera arrangement. This setup will feature a 50 MP Omnivision OV50K main sensor, a 50 MP Omnivision 50H ultra-wide sensor, and a Samsung ISOCELL HP3 200 MP sensor, which is likely designated for the telephoto camera.
Performance and Display
The device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, offering high-end performance. The battery capacity could see a significant enhancement, potentially exceeding 6000mAh. While display specifics remain unclear, rumors suggest the inclusion of a “tandem OLED” display, possibly limited to certain models within the Magic 7 lineup. Notably, the Honor Magic 6 RSR already utilizes this display technology.
Tandem OLED Technology
Tandem OLED displays are known for achieving much higher brightness levels and having a longer lifespan compared to traditional OLED displays. However, they come at a higher cost. Additionally, the tipster mentioned a December launch timeline for the Magic 7 series. The Honor Magic 6 series made its debut in China earlier this year in January.
