Xiaomi 15 and Honor Magic 7 Launch Dates Revealed by Tipster

Xiaomi has taken the lead by launching the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and now they are set to be among the first to introduce new flagship devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. According to a trustworthy source named "Fixed Focus Digital" on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 series might make its debut in China on October 20.

Launch Timing Raises Eyebrows

The timing of this launch seems unusual, considering that Qualcomm is scheduled to fully present the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 during the upcoming Snapdragon Summit, happening from October 21 to October 23. It’s possible that Xiaomi could reveal the Xiaomi 15 series with this new chip a day before, especially since the latest MediaTek flagship devices are also launching sooner than expected.

MediaTek’s Launch Plans

To give you a quick update, MediaTek has stated that the Dimensity 9400 will be launched on October 9. The Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 are among the first smartphones that will showcase this next-generation MediaTek chip, with the Vivo X200 confirmed to be unveiled on October 14 in China.

Specs of the Xiaomi 15 Series

Turning back to the Xiaomi 15 series, a recent leak has provided detailed specs for the upcoming flagship models. The standard version is expected to have a 6.36-inch display, a rear camera setup featuring three 50 MP sensors, 100W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging support. The Pro version is anticipated to come with a larger 6.73-inch display and faster charging capabilities (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).

Upcoming Honor Magic 7 Series

Additionally, the Weibo leaker hinted that the Honor Magic 7 series could be revealed on October 30. This series is also expected to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and will likely consist of five models, all supporting 100W wired fast charging.
