October is shaping up to be a competitive month for flagship smartphones. The Vivo X200 series, featuring the Dimensity 9400 chip, is anticipated to arrive in mid-October. Following that, we can expect the launch of the Xiaomi 15 series and the OnePlus 13, both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Now, there is another player entering the arena.
Honor Magic 7 Series Launch Expected This Month
According to the reliable source Digital Chat Station (DCS), the Honor Magic 7 series is set to be officially unveiled in October. This new series will also utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, and DCS indicates that it will go head-to-head with the Xiaomi 15 series, which is not unexpected.
Expected Features of the Magic 7 Series
The Magic 7 series is likely to consist of two variants: a standard model and a Pro version. Based on current leaks, it appears that both devices will share a number of similarities. They will both be equipped with the same system on chip (SoC) and will feature a triple-camera arrangement on the back. The primary sensor is anticipated to be a 50MP Omnivision OV50H, paired with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, possibly the Sony IMX882. The third sensor may either be 50 megapixels or 200 megapixels (Samsung HP3).
Display and Additional Features
Both models are expected to sport OLED screens. The Pro variant is likely to feature a higher 2K resolution display, while the standard version will come with a 1.5K resolution. Previous reports have indicated that the Magic 7 Pro will also support satellite connectivity.
In addition to these features, the smartphones are expected to have IP68/69 water resistance, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and 2D face recognition. They will also include Honor’s enhanced eye protection 3.0 technology.
At the IFA Berlin event this year, Honor confirmed that the Magic 7 series will debut with an AI Agent. This personal on-device AI assistant is designed to adapt to user habits and device environments, enabling it to automate tasks intelligently across various applications and services.
