China Welcomes the Launch of Honor Pad 9, Featuring Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and 120Hz Display

The Honor brand has recently launched its new tablet, the Honor Pad 9, alongside the Honor 90 GT smartphone. This tablet is the successor to the Honor Pad 8, which was introduced last year. The Honor Pad 9 comes with several significant upgrades compared to its predecessor and has a design similar to the OnePlus Pad and OPPO Pad 2.

Honor Pad 9 Specifications

The Honor Pad 9 boasts a 12.1-inch screen with symmetrical bezels on all four sides. It features a paper-like display with a matte finish and offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The tablet also has a peak brightness of 550 nits and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. Additionally, it has a 120Hz refresh rate and is designed to eliminate 98 percent of reflected light, providing users with a glare-free viewing experience. The Honor Pad 9 is also compatible with a stylus and keyboard.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Honor Pad 9 sports a circular camera module on its back panel, housing a 13MP sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. Moreover, the tablet is equipped with eight speakers, ensuring an immersive audio experience.

Under the hood, the Honor Pad 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and offers storage options of either 256GB or 512GB. The tablet is backed by a large 8,300mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging. On the software front, it runs on MagicOS 7.2, which is based on Android 13.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor Pad 9 is available in Azure, White, and Gray color options. The base variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at CNY 1,499 ($209). The 12GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 1,999 ($279), while the top-end model with 12GB + 512GB configuration is priced at CNY 2,199 (~$307).
