Samsung Galaxy Ring Health Features Unveiled in APK Teardown
Samsung is set to launch its highly anticipated Galaxy Ring on July 10th at their Unpacked event. While the company has shared the design of this new wearable, details about its health-tracking capabilities remain scarce.

An APK teardown of the latest Samsung Health app by Android Authority has provided some insights into the Galaxy Ring’s functionalities.

Health Monitoring

As expected, basic health tracking will be a primary feature. Users will be able to keep an eye on their heart rate and stress levels, with all data accessible through the Samsung Health app, which offers dedicated interfaces for easy data visualization.

Beyond the basics, the Galaxy Ring will also provide more advanced health metrics. The app suggests features such as skin temperature measurement and menstrual cycle prediction.

Snore Detection

Interestingly, the Galaxy Ring will also have the ability to detect snores. Similar to the Galaxy Watch, it appears that a nearby, charging phone will be necessary for this feature.

Snore tracking on the Galaxy Watch utilizes the phone’s microphone to capture audio and timestamps for snoring and heavy breathing. The Galaxy Ring is expected to operate in a similar fashion.

Battery and Sizes

In terms of health-tracking features, that’s all we know so far. The Galaxy Ring will be available in nine different sizes, ranging from 5 to 13, with varying battery capacities depending on the size.

Once you’ve identified your ideal size, you’ll need to confirm it on the order page before receiving an email confirmation and the shipment of your Galaxy Ring.

Apple Vision Pro to Get AI Boost; Cheaper Version Coming Soon

Apple is actively working on integrating its AI technology, known as Apple Intelligence, into the AR interface of the headset, visionOS. This integration aims to improve the overall user experience for Vision Pro users. In addition, Apple is revamping in-store demos to offer a more comprehensive experience. The new "Go Deeper" option allows potential buyers to test features such as office applications and video viewing. Soon, Vision Pro users will also be able to view personal videos and photos, including panoramas, within the headset. This feature is expected to be enhanced with the upcoming visionOS 2 update and its "spatialize" option, which can transform 2D photos into 3D experiences.

Future Developments

Rumors suggest that Apple is focusing on developing a more affordable headset targeted for release by the end of next year. The specifics are still unclear, with conflicting reports indicating either lower-resolution displays for a successor to the Vision Pro or a complete shift in focus towards this budget-friendly option. The primary challenge appears to be balancing cost with the high-resolution displays currently offered in the Vision Pro.

Solos AirGo Vision: First GPT-4o Smart Glasses

Solos, a company known for its innovative smart glasses, has introduced the AirGo Vision. These smart glasses are the first to feature OpenAI’s latest large language model, GPT-4o.

The AirGo Vision includes a built-in camera, enabling users to capture their environment and utilize GPT-4o to identify objects and answer related questions. This setup allows for hands-free interaction and easy access to information, similar to what Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses offer.

The AirGo Vision is also compatible with other leading AI models like Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude. This compatibility expands the glasses’ functionalities, such as asking for directions, summarizing shopping experiences, or obtaining recipes through voice commands.

Additional Features and Design

The smart glasses feature LED notification lights within the frame, which alert users to incoming messages and act as a flash when taking photos with the built-in camera. However, unlike the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, the AirGo Vision does not support video recording at this time.

A distinctive feature of the AirGo Vision is its detachable camera, located on the arm rather than embedded in the frame. This design choice provides users with more flexibility and can offer a more traditional look when the camera is removed. Users can also buy additional frames, and the glasses maintain their AI functionalities through audio input even without the camera.

Galaxy Watch 5 & 4 Get One UI Watch 6 Update

One UI Watch 6, now featured on the Galaxy Watch 6, is being extended to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 4 models. This allows users of these older devices to access Samsung’s newest software.

Beta Release Details

At present, this update is in the beta phase and isn’t available for all Watch 5 and Watch 4 models. The One UI Watch 6 beta is restricted to the Bluetooth versions of these watches. Those with LTE variants will have to wait a bit longer.

Future Expectations and Update Process

Many anticipate Samsung will soon launch the Watch 7 series. Meanwhile, it’s encouraging to see Samsung updating its older models. Recently, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic LTE hit its lowest price point ever.

To get the new update, use the Samsung Members app. Open the app on the phone linked to your watch and look for the beta release for the Watch 5 or Watch 4. If the update isn’t visible yet, remain patient, as Samsung is deploying it in stages. It might take a while for all devices globally to receive the update.

Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch 7, Buds 3 series leak

Samsung is preparing for a major launch next month which will include new foldables, smartwatches, a smart ring, earbuds, and possibly more. We have already seen renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, and now it’s time to focus on the upcoming Galaxy Watch series and Galaxy Buds.

Evan Blass, a well-known tech leak source, has unveiled official marketing images of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and the standard Galaxy Buds 3.

Galaxy Watch Ultra

The highlight of the leak is the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Samsung’s inaugural Ultra smartwatch. This model features a rugged orange band and a distinctive square case with a circular display on top.

Interestingly, the band connection system bears a striking resemblance to the Apple Watch. While Samsung has traditionally used spring pin bands, which are compatible with a wide range of third-party straps, the new Ultra watch seems to align more closely with the Apple Watch in this aspect.

Galaxy Watch 7

The leak also reveals the standard Galaxy Watch 7. It maintains the design of its predecessor, the Watch 6, and comes with a green band.

Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

Evan Blass has also shared images of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Both models feature a streamlined, stemmed design similar to the Apple AirPods.

Despite having a more defined edge compared to Apple’s AirPods, the resemblance is evident, particularly with the white Galaxy Buds 3, which will be available without silicone tips.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, on the other hand, distinguish themselves with a dark gray finish and a transparent case lid. The Pro version will continue to offer the comfortable silicone tips seen in previous Galaxy Buds models.

Nubia is advancing its collaboration with the Chinese telecom company Telemach. Gizmochina has identified the UG Phone U25 5G and the UG Kids Watch 1 in the IMEI database. These new devices are not anticipated to have high-end features.

The UG Phone U25 5G will be a budget-friendly device, much like its predecessor, the UG Phone U23 5G, which is essentially a rebranded version of the ZTE Blade A73 5G. Consequently, the UG Phone U25 5G will also be a rebranded version of the ZTE Blade A75 5G.
