Xiaomi 14 Ultra Gets HyperOS Update for Better Telephoto Shots & Focus

Xiaomi’s top-tier camera phone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, has been enhanced with a fresh HyperOS update. With its collaboration with Leica, Xiaomi has made significant strides in the camera space, though there’s still room for improvement. The company continues to offer top-notch hardware and is constantly refining its camera software.

    Xiaomi 14 Ultra – HyperOS 1.0.12.0.UNACNXM

The latest HyperOS update for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra carries the build number OS.1.0.12.0.UNACNXM. As of now, this camera update is accessible only in China. If you’re outside of China, you may have to wait a bit longer to receive this update. Xiaomi’s changelog indicates that this 246 MB update fixes several camera issues, with the complete package being 6.8 GB in size.

Enhanced Telephoto Lens and Noise Reduction

This update improves the outcomes when using the telephoto lens. It also minimizes noise in photos captured with the telephoto camera and boosts focus performance during photo shoots. Focusing with telephoto lenses can sometimes be problematic, so it’s encouraging to see Xiaomi addressing this concern.

OnePlus Ace 3 Pro Box Leaked, Launch Date Nears

We can anticipate the launch of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro very soon, as images of its packaging have surfaced online. The phone is expected to premiere in China, potentially as early as July.

The "OnePlus Ace" series is renowned for its robust performance, albeit not excelling in the camera domain. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a detail that the leaked packaging seems to confirm.

    OnePlus Ace 3 Pro

Rumors about the phone have been circulating online, and a recent update has unveiled the box of the forthcoming device. The phone will be encased in the classic red OnePlus packaging, and the label on the box confirms a variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, along with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Typically, entry-level or mid-range phones feature large batteries, but OnePlus appears to be taking a different approach with the Ace 3 Pro. Despite its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the phone will feature a massive 6100 mAh battery. This substantial battery is to be manufactured by CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited). Consistent with previous OnePlus models, the device will sport a dual-cell battery, with each cell having a 2970 mAh capacity, totaling a rated capacity of 5940 mAh and a typical capacity of 6100 mAh.

  • OPPO Find X7 Ultra Tops DxOMark as Best Battery Performer

OPPO Find X7 Ultra Tops DxOMark as Best Battery Performer

OPPO Find X7 Ultra has become the top performer in DxOMark’s global battery test rankings! While the OPPO Find X7 Ultra is also well-regarded for its camera capabilities, it features a somewhat thicker design at 9.5mm. This added thickness can be attributed to its large camera sensors and a robust 5000 mAh battery.

    Battery Performance in Various Conditions

Based on DxOMark’s evaluations, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra exhibits exceptional battery life during indoor activities, such as video streaming, phone calls, and gaming. However, its battery performance declines in outdoor settings, particularly when taking photos, making calls, and using social media applications.

    Charging Capabilities

The OPPO Find X7 Ultra achieves a full battery charge in 50 minutes with its 100W wired charger. The 50W wireless charger, on the other hand, takes 2 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge the device. DxOMark reports that a mere 5-minute charge can provide up to 10 hours of battery life. This autonomy encompasses indoor use, on-the-go scenarios, and calibrated use cases, effectively representing a mixed usage scenario. The ability to get 10 hours of battery from just a 5-minute charge is incredibly impressive.

    Charging Speeds

The device reaches 98% battery capacity in 30 minutes and 80% capacity in just 20 minutes. Given that full capacity is not always needed, achieving 80% in 20 minutes is quite remarkable for quick battery top-ups. The phone can be fully charged in 32 minutes, based on wired charging tests.

For wireless charging, the phone reaches 43% in 30 minutes and 80% capacity in 1 hour and 12 minutes. A complete charge is accomplished in 2 hours and 22 minutes.

For more detailed battery test results, you can visit DxOMark’s official website.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 Launch Date Revealed

Reliable sources have revealed comprehensive specifications for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 earlier today. Now, a fresh leak provides insights into the launch timeline for these devices.

A trusted informant, Evan Blass, shared a GIF featuring Samsung’s Unpacked banner on X (formerly known as Twitter). This banner, likely from Samsung Korea’s site, indicates that the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will occur on July 10, 2024, commencing at 10 PM Korea time (6 AM Pacific and 9 AM Eastern).

    Significant Shadows in the GIF

The GIF also displays two shadows projected from a rotating box on the right. One shadow forms the Galaxy AI symbol, suggesting that Galaxy AI will remain a focal point in the upcoming releases. The other shadow resembles the Eiffel Tower, which supports previous speculations that the event might take place in Paris.

Speculations also hint that Samsung could hold its summer Unpacked events earlier this year, likely to release products before the Paris Olympics starting on July 26.

    Possible Announcements

In addition to the foldable devices, other potential announcements at the event include new Galaxy Watch smartwatches, possibly an Ultra model, and Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds. Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Ring at its January Unpacked event, and more details about this wearable could be revealed in July.

It’s crucial to remember that this information stems from leaks and remains unofficial until Samsung confirms the event date and details.

    Samsung’s Unpacked Events

Typically, Samsung hosts at least two Unpacked events annually. The first event usually showcases new Galaxy S series smartphones. The summer Unpacked event, like the upcoming one on July 10th, traditionally features the unveiling of foldable phones and other wearable gadgets.

This suggests that the foldable phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is listed with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Z Fold 6 will be backed by a 4,400mAh battery unit. The charging speed is expected to remain the same at 25W.

  • OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite India Launch Date Confirmed

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite India Launch Date Confirmed

Following the April release of the mid-range Nord CE 4, OnePlus is gearing up to introduce another Nord-branded smartphone. A teaser page has appeared on Amazon India, indicating that a new “all-day entertainment companion” will be unveiled on June 18 at 7 PM Indian time.

Although the teaser doesn't explicitly mention the phone's name, the page title and image file name confirm it’s the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. The company hasn’t disclosed much about the phone, but speculations suggest it might be a rebranded version of the Oppo K12x, which launched in China this past March.

    Display and Features

If these speculations are correct, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite is expected to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate—a notable upgrade from its predecessor’s LCD screen. The new model may also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Regarding performance, the Oppo K12x debuted with the Snapdragon 695 chipset. However, rumors indicate it might be swapped with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor for the new OnePlus model. Despite the change, don’t anticipate a significant performance improvement, as both chipsets have similar core architecture. The SoC is likely to be paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage.

    Camera and Battery

For the camera setup, the device is expected to feature a dual-lens system on the back with a 50MP and a 2MP sensor. The front camera could house a 16MP sensor for selfies. The battery is anticipated to have a capacity of 5,500mAh, supporting 80W fast charging.

  • Android 15 Release: When Will Your Phone Get the Update?

Android 15 Release: When Will Your Phone Get the Update?

The early versions of Android 15 are already available, giving us an early look at the exciting features and improvements coming to our devices. However, it’s the stable build that will fully unleash the potential of the next Android version.

Google's Android OS release follows a three-step strategy, which applies to Android 15 as well. Initially, there are developer preview builds, followed by public beta releases, and finally, the stable build is released to the public.

Google has already outlined the Android 15 timeline, which is quite similar to the timelines for Android 13 and Android 14. Let's dive into the official timeline to see when the stable build will be available.

    Android 15 Release Timeline

The initial phase, the developer preview, kicked off on February 16, 2024, giving us the first official glimpse of Android 15. The second build came the following month, revealing more details about the new OS.

These developer preview builds are aimed at developers, as they can be quite unstable and contain many non-functional features.

Following two developer builds, Google released the first beta in April, allowing anyone to try out the new features and changes before the official release. Multiple beta builds have already been released, with the latest being Beta 2.2, which went live on June 3.

According to the official timeline, Android 15 Beta 3 will be released this month, with Beta 4 expected to arrive around July-August. There will be several incremental beta releases in between. By the time Beta 4 is out, the new OS will be nearing its final testing phase before the official release.

Here's a quick overview of the important dates:

    • Android 15 DP1 — February 16, 2024
    • Android 15 DP2 — March 21, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 1 — April 11, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 1.1 — April 22, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 1.2 — April 25, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 2 — May 15, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 2.1 — May 20, 2024
    • Android 15 Beta 2.2 — June 3, 2024

Google has not disclosed the month for the stable release of its upcoming OS. However, it is likely that Android 15 will follow last year’s pattern and could be released alongside the Pixel 9 series in October.

So, we’re still a few months away from the official release. However, smartphone brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme are offering access to the Android 15 beta on select devices. We already have a detailed guide on how to install Android 15 beta on Android phones. Check it out if you want to get an early taste of the upcoming OS.

Don’t forget to check out all the eligible devices for the Android 15 upgrade to ensure you don’t miss out on the latest features and enhancements once the update rolls out.

Android 15 Rollout: What to Expect?

Google Pixels are usually the first to receive the latest Android OS update. They get the update as soon as the stable build is announced.

Other smartphone brands, like Realme, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus, take additional time to fine-tune their custom skins to work smoothly with the latest OS. This can take a few days to weeks. Many of them are already offering Android 15 beta to select devices. However, the stable build is expected to start rolling out around November.

As usual, newer flagship phones will be the first to receive the latest OS, followed by mid-range and budget devices.

    Android 15 Features

    1. App Archiving: This feature allows you to unarchive apps to save storage while keeping the user data intact. So far, this feature has been limited to apps installed from the Play Store, but Android 15 integrates this feature at the OS level, enabling archiving/restoring of any apps, including those installed outside the Play Store.
    2. Improved Health Connect: The new OS includes new data types across fitness, nutrition, and more. Beta 2 introduces skin temperature and training plans as additional data types.
    3. Private Space: This feature protects your sensitive files and apps with an additional layer of security, similar to the Secure Folder on Samsung phones. It creates a separate space hidden from the regular space.
    1. Partial Screen Sharing: This useful feature in Android 15 allows you to share or record a single app rather than the entire screen.
    2. Notification Cooldown: This new feature prevents users from being overwhelmed by successive notifications from the same app by lowering the volume.
    3. App Pairs: Android 15 will let users save their favorite split-screen combinations for quicker access. A shortcut will be created on the home screen to instantly open both apps in split-screen mode.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra Expands to More Countries

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra Expands to More Countries

Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra in various regions. Since the start of the year, there has been speculation about an "Ultra" version being added to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold range. While these rumors have been floating around, Android Headlines has gathered some notable insights. Initially, the Z Fold 6 Ultra was believed to be exclusive to Korea. However, the AH team has now confirmed that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will also be launched in China.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra to Expand Beyond Korea

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and 6 Ultra have been assigned internal model numbers Q6 and Q6A, respectively. Additionally, the Z Fold 6 Ultra is identified by the model number SM-F958N, which initially suggested it would be a Korea-exclusive model. However, with the discovery of the new model number SM-W9025, this assumption has changed. So, what makes this model number significant?

    Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra SM-W9025 Q6A

Samsung markets its Z Fold models under different names in China. For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip 5 were sold as the Galaxy W24 and W24 Flip. The South Korean tech giant has now registered the model number SM-W9025, indicating that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will be available in China. This foldable device will likely be introduced in China under a different name, possibly as the "Galaxy W25 Ultra".

    Market Naming and Release Speculations

The final market name has not yet been confirmed by Samsung, but it is certain that the Z Fold 6 Ultra will not be restricted to Korea. There is also a possibility that Samsung may offer the Z Fold 6 Ultra globally in limited quantities, though this remains uncertain. The decision to introduce the device in only two countries is not unusual and is likely driven by cost considerations. The new Z Fold 6 is expected to be more expensive than its predecessor, the Z Fold 5, which is why the Z Fold 6 Ultra might be unveiled in just two countries. This "Ultra" foldable device is anticipated to launch in 2025, alongside the Galaxy Tab S10 and S25 series.
