He noted that many Apple stores are experiencing low inventory levels of the current iPad mini across various configurations, and internally, the device is deemed “constrained” by Apple. Gurman suggests it would not be surprising to see a successor to the iPad Mini 6 soon, potentially enhanced with AI capabilities, as Apple has incorporated several AI features into iOS and iPadOS.
