Samsung has made it clear on a teaser site that they will unveil the Galaxy M36 5G on June 27. They are providing a sneak peek of the mid-range smartphone through a series of teaser images. Unlike the Galaxy A36 5G, the Galaxy M36 5G has a notch rather than a punch-hole design, and its pill-shaped camera module distinctly separates the 2 MP sensor from the other two cameras.

    Design and Build

The frame looks to be made of plastic, as there are no visible antenna bands in the pictures. The device is just 7.7 millimeters thick and its display is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass Victus+. Samsung claims this new glass makes the screen four times more resistant to scratches than the previous model. Additionally, it’s said to endure falls from a height of up to two meters.

    Camera and Features

The Galaxy M36 5G boasts a 50-MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13 MP front camera. 2. The flagship device will not include the Glyph Interface but will feature a new “Glyph Matrix” dot matrix display on the back.
    3. The Glyph Matrix can show notifications and widgets, similar to features on the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro.
    4. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor with RAM options of 12 GB to 16 GB and storage options of 256 GB to 512 GB.
    5. Pricing for the Nothing Phone (3) is rumored to be €799 or €899, and it will receive five major Android updates and seven years of security patches.

The Nothing Phone (3) is set to be officially introduced on July 1, aiming to serve as a more advanced option compared to the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. A few weeks back, Nothing announced that this flagship device would not include the Glyph Interface, which is the signature Nothing LED lighting on the back. In the teaser video shared below, the company showcases what it’s replacing the Glyph Interface with.

    New Display Feature

Instead of the Glyph Interface, there will be a small dot matrix display located in the top right corner of the back. This new feature is named the “Glyph Matrix.” This concept isn’t brand new; the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro has a similar kind of display on its back. Asus even allows users to play simple games like Pong on that dot matrix, but it also serves more practical purposes, such as showing incoming notifications or a limited selection of widgets, like the weather forecast.

    Specs and Pricing

The specific features that the Glyph Matrix will offer remain unclear at this time. However, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, along with options of 12 GB to 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 512 GB of internal storage. A leak suggests that the Nothing Phone (3) might be priced at either €799 or €899, depending on the chosen storage option. Additionally, Nothing has announced that this flagship device will receive five significant Android updates and seven years of security patches.

  • New Galaxy Z Flip 7 Renders Reveal Colors and Camera Design

New Galaxy Z Flip 7 Renders Reveal Colors and Camera Design

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be powered by Exynos, but rumors suggest it could also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
    2. It features a dual-camera setup (50 MP + 12 MP) and a 3.4-inch integrated rear display.
    3. The device will be thinner than the Galaxy Z Flip 6, enhancing its design.
    4. A significant software upgrade allows the second screen to support all apps, expanding user functionality.
    5. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will compete with the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra and Xiaomi’s Mix Flip 2, making the competition in the foldable market intense.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 has recently shown up on Geekbench, marking Samsung’s first foldable phone powered by Exynos. However, some rumors suggest it might still feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Thanks to Android Headlines, we got an exciting look at the actual device through detailed renders. The renders reveal two color options: Blue Shadow and Jet Black.

A Closer Look at the Design

This is the second time we’ve seen the device, with the first sighting coming from OnLeaks. On the back, there’s the familiar dual-camera setup (50 MP + 12 MP) along with a large cover display. A notable change in the camera design is that it’s now integrated with the 3.4-inch rear display. Most other features, like the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the selfie camera, appear to remain unchanged.

    Anticipated Enhancements

In general, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 seems to be a bit thinner compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Nevertheless, Android Headlines mentions that the most significant upgrade will likely be in software. The second screen will now support all apps instead of just a limited selection like before. This change could create new opportunities for users. Nonetheless, it will still compete fiercely against the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra and Xiaomi’s Mix Flip 2, and simply having similar specs may not be sufficient to give Samsung an advantage.

    Final Thoughts

In summary, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 appears to bring some exciting features and upgrades, particularly in software functionality. As Samsung gears up to release this device, it will be crucial to see how it stacks up against its competitors in the foldable market.

Foldable iPhone Expected in 2026, Early Production Starts Soon

    Key Takeaways

    1. Production Timeline: Foxconn is expected to start production of the foldable iPhone in late September or early October 2025, with a public launch planned for autumn 2026 as part of the iPhone 18 series.

    2. Display and Design: The device will feature a foldable display, provided by Samsung Display, with a 5.5-inch screen when closed and a 7.8-inch screen when opened, designed similarly to the Galaxy Fold.

    3. Hinge Engineering: Apple has engineered the hinge to minimize crease visibility and may include under-display cameras, while opting for Touch ID due to space constraints.

    4. Pricing Strategy: The expected price range for the foldable iPhone is between $2,000 and $2,500, targeting the ultra-premium market segment.

    5. Limited Production Volume: Apple plans to produce 15 to 20 million units for a lifecycle of 2 to 3 years, indicating a niche launch strategy rather than a broad market release.

Apple’s anticipated foldable iPhone seems to be edging closer to being real. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has indicated that Apple has hit a significant development milestone and is gearing up for the initial phases of production. Kuo has provided fresh details about when Apple might begin making the device, its design features, and expected production volumes.

    Production Timeline

Kuo mentions that Apple’s partner Foxconn is likely to kick off production of the foldable iPhone around late September or early October 2025. The company aims for a public launch in the autumn of 2026, positioning the new device as part of its iPhone 18 series. Even though production is just months away, some internal parts, such as the hinge, still need to be finalized, highlighting Apple’s commitment to ensuring long-lasting quality.

    Display and Design

The foldable display has been confirmed as a key feature of the phone. Samsung Display is expected to provide between 7 to 8 million screens, offering a 5.5-inch display when closed and a larger 7.8-inch screen when opened. The design is said to be similar to the Galaxy Fold, featuring a book-style inward fold. Apple has engineered the hinge to minimize crease visibility and might even include under-display cameras. Due to space constraints, the device would likely utilize Touch ID instead of Face ID. It is anticipated to be around 4.5mm thick when opened and 9–9.5mm when folded.

    Pricing and Market Strategy

According to Kuo, the expected price range for the foldable iPhone will be between $2,000 and $2,500, placing it in the ultra-premium segment. Apple is estimated to have ordered between 15 to 20 million units, which would cover a projected lifecycle of 2 to 3 years. This approach indicates a limited, niche launch instead of a broad market release. Kuo also points out that Apple’s plans might still change before the device enters mass production.

    1. Honor’s Magic V5 will launch on July 2, one week after Vivo’s X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro, but will not compete directly with the X Fold5.
    2. The Magic V5 is designed to directly challenge Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7.
    3. Honor aims for the Magic V5 to be the thinnest and lightest foldable device, while utilizing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform for enhanced performance.
    4. The device is expected to offer ‘PC-level productivity’ and come in new colors, including ‘Silk Gold,’ Velvet Black, Tundra Green, and Snow White.
    5. The Magic V5 will feature 80 W wired charging capabilities.

Honor has shared additional information about its upcoming foldable device, set to launch shortly after Vivo’s X Fold5. To give some background, Vivo is set to present its new X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro on June 25. Exactly one week later, Honor will introduce the Magic V5, although it appears that it won’t directly compete with the X Fold5.

    Targeting Samsung

Instead, Honor is targeting Samsung directly, having previously positioned the Magic V3 in a similar way against the Galaxy Z Fold6. The company states that the Magic V5 is designed to “directly challenge the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7.” Expectations suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold7, along with new devices such as the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the latest Galaxy Watch smartwatches, won’t launch until mid-July.

    Lightweight and Powerful

Honor claims that the Magic V5 will not only outshine the X Fold5 but also the Oppo Find N5, aiming to be the thinnest and lightest foldable in the world. However, it remains to be seen if this claim holds after Samsung reveals the Galaxy Z Fold7. Additionally, Honor suggests that the Magic V5 will utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, implying that this foldable will be its most powerful model yet.

At this point, it’s still uncertain whether Honor will use Qualcomm’s 7-core variant found in the Find N5 or the more robust 8-core version utilized in the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra (currently priced at $899.99 on Amazon). The company has hinted that the Magic V5 will offer ‘PC-level productivity’ as well. Furthermore, it looks like Honor has chosen to debut its new foldable in the rumored ‘Silk Gold’ color. This new shade is expected to be released alongside Velvet Black, Tundra Green, and Snow White when Honor officially reveals the Magic V5 on July 2, which will also feature 80 W wired charging capabilities.
