Topton F12 Mini PC: Meteor Lake-H & Thunderbolt 4 in Compact Design

The Topton F12 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, a high-performance laptop CPU featuring six performance cores that can reach boost clock speeds of up to 4.8 GHz, along with eight efficiency cores. It also includes an Intel Arc integrated GPU, which provides adequate performance for older games or less demanding titles. Multiple Display Support

With HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and Thunderbolt 4, you can connect up to three 4K monitors at once, and it even supports one 8K display. The mini PC has two SO-DIMM slots allowing for a maximum of 96 GB of DDR5 5600 RAM, as well as space for two M.2-2280 SSDs linked through PCIe 4.0, enabling the Topton F12 to have as much as 8 TB of storage. For network connections, you can use either Wi-Fi 6 or a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet connection.

    Connectivity Options

Bluetooth 5.2 is included for connecting wireless headphones. Besides the Thunderbolt 4 port, the mini PC features three USB-A ports (10 Gbit/s) and headphone jacks on the front, while the back has two 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1. However, this design has its downsides; all the high-speed USB ports are located at the front, forcing users to plug in some devices in a more obvious manner rather than at the back where it might be less visible.

    Pricing and Availability

You can find the Topton F12 Mini-PC on AliExpress right now. The barebones model, which includes the Core Ultra 7 155H but lacks RAM and SSD, is priced at $419, which comes with free shipping. • Dreame Mova S20 Ultra Robot Vacuum: 8,300 Pa Suction Power

Dreame Mova S20 Ultra Robot Vacuum: 8,300 Pa Suction Power

Mova, a sub-brand of Dreame, has launched its new robot vacuum cleaner, the Mova S20 Ultra, in Turkey. In addition to this model, Mova has also introduced the E30 Ultra, S10 Plus, S10, and the M1 robotic vacuums. The S20 Ultra features a smart cleaning system that effectively cleans both hard floors and soft carpets with an impressive suction power of 8,300 Pa.

    Advanced Technology

This robot vacuum utilizes obstacle avoidance technology, which can identify 70 different kinds of objects such as shoes, cables, cans, and more to create a smart cleaning path. However, Mova has not revealed the specific name of this technology. The device also comes equipped with 4-level mapping technology that allows for quick home mapping.

    Cleaning Capabilities

Additionally, the S20 Ultra offers a hot mopping feature that can heat water to 60 °C (~140 °F). It includes a self-cleaning docking station that automatically cleans and dries the mop, refills water and solution, and empties the dustbin, providing up to 7 weeks of hands-free cleaning. The vacuum can detect carpets and will elevate the mop by 8 mm (~0.31 inches) to prevent moisture from soaking into the carpet.

    Battery and App Features

The self-emptying vacuum is powered by a 5,200 mAh battery that allows it to operate for as long as 2 hours and 50 minutes on one charge. Similar to other premium models, the S20 Ultra can be controlled via an app or through voice commands using Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant. The Mova app offers various features, including scheduling cleanings, creating no-go zones, selecting cleaning modes, toggling between mop washing and drying, and customizing routines with AI smart planning.

    Additional Features and Pricing

Other features of the vacuum include a dual rubber brush, a VibroTurbo mopping system, and RoboSwing technology for mopping. The Mova S20 Ultra is available for purchase in Turkey on Trendyol for approximately 32,999 TL (~US $933). It can also be found in the US for $999 on Amazon.

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Watch 8 Classic Plans Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Watch 8 Classic Plans Leaked

Reports in recent months have strongly suggested that Samsung plans to unveil a new foldable smartphone next year, known as the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Recent leaks have added credibility to these claims.

    Confirmation of Development

According to Erencan Yilmaz, Samsung is indeed working on the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which has been identified in the GSMA database. The device carries the model number “SM-F761B,” signifying that it will be available worldwide, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was only for the Korean market. Interestingly, the device is also referred to as the “Galaxy Z Flip XE,” but this is probably just a mistake.

    Expected Pricing and Launch Date

The Z Flip FE is expected to debut in 2025 as a more budget-friendly version of the Galaxy Z Flip7. Samsung aims to build on the successful sales of its Flip series by introducing a more accessible model at a lower price point. Given this strategy, the anticipated MSRP for the Flip FE is around $700, positioning it against Motorola’s upcoming 2025 Razr model. It’s still unclear whether the Flip FE will launch alongside the standard Flip7 in July or August, but that seems like a reasonable prediction.

New Galaxy Watch Classic Coming Soon

Besides the Galaxy Z Flip FE, Samsung is also preparing to introduce a new Galaxy Watch Classic model. After skipping this version for the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch7 series, the Watch8 Classic seems to be on the horizon, as it has been found online with the model number “SM-L505U.”

  • Tesla Tests Model Y Juniper Wipers in Heavy Rain with New Features

Tesla Tests Model Y Juniper Wipers in Heavy Rain with New Features

Tesla might soon unveil the Model Y Juniper facelift, potentially as early as next week. This refreshed model is expected to feature a redesigned side mirror, a front that resembles the Model X with its logo, and a new rear light bar.

    New Design Features

The speculations about these updates arose after a recent sighting of the camouflaged Model Y Juniper driving at high speeds on the highway during heavy rain. In addition to the fresh design aspects, the performance of the facelift’s body on the slick road suggests that it may come with a new, more comfortable suspension. This is something current Model Y drivers have been asking for quite some time now.

    Wiper Functionality

For the first time, the Model Y Juniper’s wipers were seen in action. However, the focus is not just on how well the wipers clean the windshield at high speeds. Instead, attention is on how the automatic wiper system behaves in autonomous driving mode. Tesla’s wipers have had their share of issues, often working too hard in sunny conditions or failing to adjust to varying rain intensities since they depend solely on the vehicle’s cameras. The wipers on the Model Y Juniper appeared to be cleaning effectively, but we will need to wait until next month, when the refresh is launched from Giga Shanghai, to see how they perform in real-world conditions.

    Rear Light Bar Innovation

In a clearer observation of the Model Y Juniper facelift, we can see its new rear light bar in operation. Tesla has made an opening in the camouflage tarp for the midsection of the light bar, which seems to function as a third brake light and extends across the rear. This change hints at a more streamlined and aggressive look, reminiscent of the design approach taken with the Model 3 Highland facelift released last year.

Moreover, a larger 95 kWh battery option is rumored to be part of the package. This, combined with a new 4th-gen Tesla motor, is expected to provide a greater range on a single charge for the Model Y Juniper.

    Powertrain Upgrades

Under the hood, Tesla may have also upgraded the powertrain with modern 800V high-voltage and 48V low-voltage systems, which were first seen in the Cybertruck. However, it remains unclear whether the Model Y Juniper will also incorporate the Cybertruck’s second-generation 4680 battery, as concerns about its cost and performance have been raised by CATL, suggesting that Elon Musk may be overly optimistic.

  • Modular Laptop with Mechanical Keyboard: MNT Reform vs. Framework

Modular Laptop with Mechanical Keyboard: MNT Reform vs. Framework

The new notebook from MNT Research is being marketed as a viable choice compared to modular laptops such as the Framework Laptop 13. With its hardware and firmware being fully open source, this laptop allows for extensive modifications, making it particularly appealing to enthusiasts and DIY-ers.

    Features and Specifications

The device includes a mechanical keyboard that uses Kailh Choc Brown switches and comes with RGB lighting. It features a 12.5-inch 1080p IPS display, and all parts, including the battery and motherboard, can be replaced after purchase. The left and right sides of the laptop have smaller boards for the ports, enabling users to change them without affecting the motherboard. Out of the box, the MNT Reform Next has three USB-C ports (one designated for charging), one USB-A port, an HDMI output, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

    Performance Considerations

While the modular design contributes to a weight of 1.6 kg (3.5 lb) and a thickness of 2.6 cm (1.02 in), it also comes with a downside: the built-in Rockchip RK3588 CPU, which has four Cortex-A76 and four Cortex-A55 ARM cores, lacks the power of modern Intel and AMD processors. However, this chip is efficient enough that it doesn’t need a cooling fan, allowing the MNT Reform Next to operate quietly. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, and it will come pre-installed with Debian Linux.

    Pricing and Availability

The MNT Reform Next laptop is currently available for crowdfunding on Crowd Supply and has successfully reached its $100,000 goal. The starting model, which features 16 GB of memory and 256 GB of eMMC storage, is priced at $1,099. For $1,599, the "Hyper" version includes 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD. MNT Research provides free shipping worldwide, but purchasers should be aware of possible import taxes and duties.

  • Galaxy S25 Series Could Include Free Gemini Advanced Trial

Galaxy S25 Series Could Include Free Gemini Advanced Trial

The Samsung Galaxy S25 flagship series is set to be revealed on January 22. This lineup is thought to consist of three models: the standard Galaxy S25, the Plus version, and the Ultra variant. Samsung has put a strong focus on Galaxy AI in the S24 series, and it looks like they might further enhance AI features for the upcoming S25 series.

    Possible Collaboration with Google

A recent report from Android Authority has uncovered some code within the latest beta version of the Google app. This code hints at a potential partnership between Samsung and Google to provide a trial subscription for the Gemini Advanced service with the Galaxy S25 phones.

    Different Trial Durations

The code points out that the length of the trial varies between the models. The standard Galaxy S25 is set to receive a 3-month subscription, while the Plus model could offer a 6-month trial. On the other hand, the S25 Ultra is expected to enjoy a full year of the subscription.

At a price of $19.99 per month, the Gemini Advanced subscription includes several benefits over the free version. It grants access to the 1.5 Pro generation model, which is an upgrade from the 1.5 Flash model available in the free plan. Users will also have the chance to experiment with advanced models like the Gemini-Exp-1206 for more complex tasks.

    Take the News with Caution

It’s worth noting that Samsung has not yet made an official announcement regarding the Gemini Advanced trial for the S25 models. Therefore, it is best to take this information with some skepticism until there is an official confirmation.

  • Nitecore Unveils 1.5V Rechargeable AA Batteries with USB-C

Nitecore Unveils 1.5V Rechargeable AA Batteries with USB-C

Nitecore has recently started offering AA rechargeable batteries, introducing the NH2400 to the market. This new product is designed to compete mainly with lithium-ion batteries that keep a steady voltage of 1.5 volts. The NH2400 boasts a slightly higher capacity compared to competitors. For instance, Fenix’s similar product only provides 3.3 watt hours.

    Specifications of the NH2400

In contrast, Nitecore claims that the NH2400 has a capacity of 2,400 mAh along with 3.6 Wh. However, there’s a significant drawback: these batteries cannot be charged using regular chargers. The company specifies that the NH2400 must be charged via a USB-C port, which is built into the battery. It accepts a maximum charging power of 2.5 watts.

    Charging Details

Included with the purchase, Nitecore provides a four-way cable whip for charging. Additionally, the batteries come with an LED indicator that shows the charging progress. It is reported that it takes about three hours to fully charge the batteries using the cable whip, and they are estimated to endure around 500 charge cycles. While this may seem low, Panasonic’s NiMH-based Eneloop LSD batteries can last for approximately 2,100 cycles. However, Panasonic notes that around 600 cycles is a more realistic number under strict testing methods.

The NH2400 batteries seem to have been recently released, as they are still being shipped and are hard to come by. In Nitecore’s US store, a four-pack of NH2400 batteries along with the cable whip is listed for just below $25.

The Rise of AA Rechargeable Batteries

New AA rechargeable batteries are becoming increasingly popular as a substitute for traditional 1.2-volt batteries, as they are believed to perform better in devices that need the 1.5 volts provided by fully-charged AA batteries. Besides the NH2400, which has a declining voltage, there are also batteries available that maintain their voltage until depletion.

It’s important not to confuse the NH2400 batteries with the 14500 round batteries, which operate at a higher voltage and are intended for specialized applications since they are not compatible with AA slots. Users should exercise caution here too, as Fenix markets its USB AA rechargeable batteries as 14500 batteries with 1.5 volts and sometimes with the LR6 label.

    Nitecore’s Product Range

Nitecore also offers 14500 batteries but refers to them primarily for their higher voltage. These batteries provide 1,100 mAh at 3.6 volts, which gives them a slight edge in capacity over the NH2400 rechargeable batteries.
