  • Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 38% Off: 192GB RAM, RTX GPU

    Key Takeaway

    – Maxed-out Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 discounted by 38% ($5,500 off)
    – Final price still $8,999 for 192GB RAM, 4TB SSD, RTX Pro 5000 24GB GPU
    – Features Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and tandem OLED (3200×2000, 120Hz, 1500 nits)
    – GPU limited to 105W TGP; 180W power supply can be overwhelmed at full load
    – Designed for niche professional users needing extreme RAM, VRAM, and processing power

High-End Laptop Discounts Are Getting Rare

Truly intriguing laptop deals are hard to come by these days, which is especially true for professional high-end machines with lots of memory, storage space and other powerful components including a dedicated graphics card with lots of VRAM. All these boxes are arguably checked by the Lenovo ThinkPad P16, which has now received a rather amusing discount.

    Specifics of the Price Cut

More specifically, B&H Photo Video has discounted the maxed-out model variant of the ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 by $5,500 or 38 percent relative to the official list price. This applies to the model variant with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 192GB DDR5 RAM and 4TB SSD storage. Furthermore, this notebook is powered by an Nvidia RTX Pro 5000 Blackwell GPU with 24GB VRAM and features the tandem OLED panel with 3200 x 2000 pixels, 120Hz and up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode.

    Still A Very Expensive Machine

That might sound like a good deal, but considering that Lenovo’s MSRP stands at a whopping $14,499, buyers still have to shell out a staggering $8,999 for this admittedly very well-equipped 16-inch laptop. For reference, Lenovo itself is currently selling a similar configuration with 128GB DDR5 RAM for a couple hundred dollars more in its official online store.

    Designed For Professionals

Putting the insane price aside, the ThinkPad P16 Gen 3 is obviously designed for professional users who are confident that they need this amount of RAM, VRAM and processing power. We thoroughly reviewed a less expensive version of this 16-inch laptop and called it a “local AI monster” that has become more portable compared to the predecessor and still offers a lot of performance.

    Performance And Power Limitations

On negative side, the RTX GPU is limited to a TGP of 105 watts and the notebook ships with a 180-watt power supply, which can be overwhelmed when the device runs at full load. With all that said, this is a sinfully expensive machine for a very specific group of professional users who might be looking for a huge business expense deduction on next year’s tax return.

Google Pixel Bootloop Bug Still Haunts Users Since March

    Key Takeaway

    – Google Pixel 6 to 10 users face a boot loop/restart error since March.
    – The May update did not fix the issue for all affected devices.
    – Some phones cannot even boot into recovery mode to install updates.
    – Google is investigating but has no blanket fix; support must be contacted for case-specific steps.
    – Avoid installing Android 17 beta, as it may worsen the problem.

It has been over two months since we first reported it, and since the March update was released, a growing number of Google Pixel 6 through to the Pixel 10 users have been complaining about an error causing the smartphone to restart repeatedly. These affected Google Pixels either only display the Google logo or the boot screen, or crash right after the pin code has been entered, which is a real pain for most people.

May update was supposed to help

The May update was intended to provide a fix, but unfortunately this did not work for everyone. An additional issue is that some affected smartphones can’t even boot into recovery mode, so there is no way to install the update in the first place. Over 800 comments from affected customers have now been published in the Google Issue Tracker, showing the scale of the problem.

    Google’s email response

Google has now informed customers via email that the error has been under investigation since March. The company says they have compiled a guide showing the steps which can be taken to fix the problem under certain circumstances. Instead of publishing these instructions on a website, affected customers should contact Google support to recieve information on the solution, which seems like a weird choice.

    • The next steps depend on how exactly the error manifest itself on your smartphone
    • There is still no blanket solution for all affected devices
    • Anyone with this problem apparently has no option but to contact support

    Warning about Android 17 beta

It is important not to install the beta version of Android 17, as according to several user reports this can lead to further problems and make things even worse. The whole situation remains frustrating for many users, who have been waiting for a proper fix for months.

  • Xbox CEO Asha Sharma exclusives criticism reposted by CSO Matthew Ball

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma exclusives criticism reposted by CSO Matthew Ball

    Key Takeaway

    – Xbox CEO Asha Sharma’s statements on exclusivity are seen as contradictory, causing fan confusion.
    – New CSO Matthew Ball’s accidental repost of criticism highlights potential leadership misalignment.
    – The June 7th showcase confirmed some key titles as Xbox/PC exclusive, but overall strategy remains unclear.
    – Profitability is now cited as the deciding factor for exclusivity, with case-by-case decisions adding uncertainty.
    – Retailers faced mixed signals, like the sudden delisting of PS5 pre-orders for Gears of War: E-Day.

Xbox Boss’s Words Spark Confusion Among Fans

Some fans have found Xbox CEO Asha Sharma’s statements about exclusivity contradictory. Content creator Timdog criticized her for conflicting positions on social media. Surprisingly, newly appointed Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball reposted the comments. Although he clarified it was a mix-up, it made gamers wonder if Xbox leadership is on the same page.

Timdog Calls Out Sharma’s Mixed Messages

The often-controversial Timdog said that Sharma has made “about 8” statements regarding Xbox exclusive games. He argued that the CEO only has a limited time to establish trust with her fanbase. Timdog then recommended that Microsoft task Matthew Ball with communicating the company’s plans.

As several observers noticed, Ball endorsed the comments by sharing them with other readers. The CSO later removed the repost, claiming he meant to retweet only a question from another gamer. Nevertheless, the apparent mistake has added to the confusion surrounding Microsoft’s multi-platform intentions.

Showcase Reveals Some Exclusives, But Questions Linger

Appeasing some critics, the June 7th Xbox Games Showcase welcomed several Xbox exclusive games. The Gears of War: E-Day release date on October 6th will not include a PS5 version, contrary to what many gamers had anticipated. Likewise, Clockwork Revolution will only ship for the Series X, S, and PCs when it launches in 2027.

The news left audiences wondering about the rationale for picking Xbox exclusives. Microsoft confirmed that games already announced for multiple platforms would not be affected. Yet, going forward, it’s not clear which titles will entice gamers to purchase first-party hardware. The CEO hinted at a case-by-case decision-making process, providing little clarity to fans.

Profits Will Guide Future Exclusivity Decisions

More recently, in a Fortune interview, the executive implied that future profits would influence those choices. Admitting that the “company isn’t healthy right now”, it can’t afford to exclude other gaming systems. If the outlook improves, Microsoft’s consoles could see a steady stream of unique software. However, that appears to be a more universal rule than previously described.

Retailers are also hearing mixed messages. The sudden Gears of War: E-Day pivot forced several stores to delist PS5 pre-orders before the Games Showcase. Sharma and Ball may not be at odds, but the company’s constantly evolving strategy is raising doubts.

New Outdoor TV: 86-Inch QLED with 4,000 Nits for World Cup

    Key Takeaway

    – Outdoor QLED+ TVs with IP55 weather protection for year-round use
    – Available in 5 sizes (43–86 inches), priced between $4,600 and $14,800
    – 4K UHD display with up to 4,000 nits brightness for outdoor visibility
    – Runs Google TV 3.0 with popular streaming apps and multiple HDMI 2.0 ports
    – Powered by quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and two 15W speakers

New Outdoor TVs From France Just in Time for the World Cup

French manufacturer WeMoove has introduced new outdoor smart TVs just in time for the upcoming start of the FIFA World Cup. The Vivaldi Series 4000 uses QLED+ technology and is designed for watching soccer and other content outdoors. Their engineers were certain that bright sunshine shouldn’t ruin your viewing pleasure, so they made these sets for harsh conditions.

Five Sizes Available But Not Exactly Cheap

The new outdoor TV series is available in five sizes from 43 to 86 inches, corresponding to screen diagonals from a compact 43 inches to a huge 86 inches. Prices range between $4,600 and $14,800. European customers can order these sets directly from the manufacturer, although availability is limited. For example the 86-inch model will set you back a whopping $14,800 which is alot of money for a television.

    Weather Proofing and Display Technology

The TVs for gardens, balconies, and similar outdoor spaces are therefore not exactly cheap. In return, they are not only protected against snow, rain, and wind under IP55 certification and designed for year-round outdoor use, but also offer modern technology. According to the manufacturer, QLED+ delivers color depth, contrast, and rich blacks. This means you can enjoy vibrant colors even when the sun is beeming down on the screen during a summer barbecue.

Brightness and Audio Specs Are Impressive

Brightness is another key factor when using a TV outdoors. In this regard, the manufacturer promises up to 4,000 nits for the 4K UHD panel. Audio is handled by two 15-watt speakers. The Vivaldi Series 4000 is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at up to 1.5 GHz, along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash storage. Those speakers might not be enought for a noisy backyard party though, so you may want to consider external sound.

    Software and Connectivity Options

Google TV 3.0 is used as the OS, providing access to countless apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and YouTube. For connectivity, several HDMI ports are available in addition to Wi-Fi, among others. However, these are not HDMI 2.1 ports, which are particularly relevant for gamers, but only HDMI 2.0. A wall mount is included in the box. WeMoove clearly target soccer fans for there World Cup viewing parties but gamers might be dissapointed about the lack of newer ports.

    Modern Design Updates for Presenters

For those who regulary need to give presentations, often via PowerPoint and other software tools, Logitech brings us the Spotlight 2, a new remote control with some interesting features. It’s been upgraded from its 2017 predecessor with a far more modern and rounded aluminum housing, giving it a sleeker look overall that will better suit professional environments.

    Pressure-Sensitive Button and Feedback

The large single button located at the top is actually pressure-sensitive, which is a clever touch. This allows Logitech to digitally highlight content when you push the button more firmly down, for example making a round magnifying glass appear to enlarge something or making that specific part of the screen brighter than the rest of the image. There’s also a vibration motor built in for haptic feedback, so you don’t need to look at the screen to confirm your action has been registered, it simply buzzes in your hand.

Alternatively, you can also point at elements in the old-fashioned way using a classic red laser pointer, which is still included. A programmable action button sits on the side of the housing, making it possible to do things like mute the connected computer or show a blank display with one quick press. Logitech Spotlight 2 connects to a PC via Bluetooth or using the USB dongle supplied, boasting a wireless range of up to 30 meters, which is good for large rooms. The battery life is rated for three months; Logitech claims just one minute on the USB-C cable will provide enough power for a full three-hour presentation.

    Pricing and Colour Options

Logitech Spotlight 2 is available to buy imediately for $129.99, either through the Logitech online store or via Amazon if you prefer. The presenter can be had in four distinct colours, these being purple, beige, dark gray and black. – Suction power increased to 36,000 Pa; can now overcome thresholds up to 9 cm high (in two stages).

Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete Announced

Mova has annonced the upcoming launch of the Z70 Ultra Roller Complete. The successor to the Z60 Ultra Roller Complete will officially go on sale on June 15. Until June 26, buyers can save 200 euros via an early bird discount on the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of 1,399 euros, for instance.

    Second Flagship in Weeks

With this, Mova is bringing its second flagship robot vacuum to market within just a few weeks. Only recently, the V70 Ultra Complete—a model featuring particularly far-extending arms for the side brush and mop—had hit the market. Now follows the Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete, the new generation equiped with a roller mop. According to a review, the predecessor, Mova Z60 Ultra Roller Complete, was one of the most exciting and best robot vacuums of the past year.

    Performance and Data Sheet

We will soon take a look at how well the successor perfoms in a detailed test. The data sheet promises some improvements. Among other things, the suction power has been increased to 36,000 Pa. In addition, the robot can now overcome thresholds up to a height of 9 cm (in two stages of 4.8 and 4.2 cm).

    HydroForce Mopping 2.0

The primary feature of the Mova Z70 Ultra Roller Complete is of course still the wide mopping roller at the rear of the robot hoover. Here, the manufacturer relies on HydroForce Mopping 2.0, in which the roller is cleaned with fresh water with every revolution and presses onto the floor with 18 N. When cleaning carpets, it is not only lifted but also covered by a protective cover.

The new vacuum and mopping robot naturally comes with a comprehensive cleaning station. This is not only availible with an optional water connection, but also in a stylish natural stone or brushed metallic design. Mova is not responsible for price changes carried out by retailers. The discounted price or deal mentioned in this item was available at the time of writing and may be subject to time restrictions and/or limited unit availability.
