    AMG breaks conventions with the brand new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe

In the GT 63, this trio yields an immense peak output of 860 kW, equating to about 1,153 hp, while the GT 55 produces 600 kW or 805 hp.

    Eye-opening acceleration and performance

    Acceleration figures are striking: from standstill, the GT 63 hits 62 mph in 2.1 seconds and reaches 125 mph in 6.4 seconds. With the optional Driver Package, the top speed climbs to 186 mph. The rear motors reach up to 13,000 rpm, and the front unit can exceed 15,000 rpm, marking a new level of electric speed in this bodystyle.

    New battery tech with Formula 1 influence

    A completely new high-performance battery is designed for long-distance endurance, drawing directly from Formula 1 and the AMG One hypercar. It houses 2,660 cylindrical cells in a lightweight, laser-welded aluminum enclosure integrated into the crash structure. The cell chemistry is NCMA with a silicon-containing anode, offering more than 298 Wh/kg at the cell level for high energy density.

    Integrated cooling and long-range potential

    The technology highlight is an integrated direct oil cooling system that circulates electrically non-conductive cooling oil around each individual cell to achieve high cooling performance of at least 20 kW. This helps keep the battery within an optimal temperature range even under extreme track use or sustained full-throttle driving. The battery concept is expected to enable WLTP ranges well over 435 miles, with combined energy consumption around 3.0 to 3.5 miles per kWh, according to the manufacturer.

    Charging prowess and charging standards

    Charging is a milestone: at compatible ultra-fast chargers, the system supports charging currents above 800 amps and peak charging outputs over 600 kW. A 10 to 80 percent session can take only eleven minutes, and a brief stop can add energy for more than 286 miles of WLTP-range in just 10 minutes. The system automatically switches to 400V infrastructure and supports five charging standards including CCS2 and NACS for broad compatibility.

    Experience and tech features inside

    Even with an all-electric powertrain, AMG preserves emotional appeal via the AMGForce S+ drive program, which simulates a highly authentic V8 sound by digitizing the sound of a real AMG GT R with 16 microphones. The sound system even introduces noticeable interruptions in power delivery during simulated gear shifts, aiming to preserve driving drama.

    Chassis, handling, and user customization

    The AMG Active Ride Control air suspension with semi-active hydraulic roll stabilization, plus standard 6-degree rear-axle steering, is designed to deliver the right driving dynamics. Three rotary controls in the center console, called the AMG Race Engineer, let drivers calibrate throttle response, cornering behavior, and traction across nine levels. Aero elements, including Venturi panels underbody and a deployable rear diffuser, help press the car onto the road at high speeds.
