Specialized is introducing a new flagship electric mountain bike that pushes its lightweight construction approach into full-power territory. The American brand’s latest model brings together a carbon chassis and a high-torque drive system in a platform that aims to keep overall mass unusually low for its category.
A lightweight full-suspension platform
The S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight tips the scales at just 41 lbs (18 kg), securing a place among the lightest full-suspension electric mountain bikes the company has ever produced. At its core is a fresh FACT 11 carbon frame paired with Specialized’s GENIE suspension technology, supported by adjustable geometry. Front travel is rated at 140 mm, while the rear suspension provides 130 mm of travel.
Full-power motor and flexible battery options
Despite the lean frame, the bike houses the brand’s S-Works 3.1 motor, which generates 111 Nm of torque and up to 850 W of peak power—the same drive unit found in the recently unveiled Levo 4 X. Riders can select between a 600 Wh or an 840 Wh battery pack, with the latter claiming up to 4.4 hours of ride time depending on terrain and assistance level. An optional 280 Wh range extender is also available for longer outings.
The package integrates a suite of connected features, including companion app support, Apple Find My compatibility, and a 2.2-inch Mastermind display. A 12-amp smart charger rounds out the system, offering multiple charging modes such as fast charging and an 80 percent battery preservation option.
Pricing and availability
The S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight carries a price tag of $12,999.99 and is offered in a single satin carbon colorway. That pricing positions it $1,000 above the Levo 4 X, which shares the same motor but does not match the ultralight frame configuration.
