Oppo has formally introduced the A7 Pro Max, expanding its budget-focused A-series with a device built around the largest battery the company has ever installed in a smartphone. After a string of leaks and speculation, the official reveal confirms the handset carries a 10,000mAh single-cell power pack, surpassing the 7,000mAh unit inside the previous Oppo A6 Pro 4G and edging past other recent endurance-focused competitors such as the Redmi Note 17 Pro and its 9,000mAh cell.
Battery design and longevity claims
The single-cell configuration carries a rated capacity of 9,700mAh. Oppo states the battery is engineered to retain 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,500 full charge cycles, a figure that points to extended real-world lifespan well beyond the typical two-year upgrade window. Promotional images also showcase a blue color finish and a redesigned rear camera module whose layout and proportions strongly echo the design language of the iPhone 17 Pro.
Expected specifications and slim profile
While Oppo has kept the majority of hardware details under wraps for now, earlier leaks suggest the A7 Pro Max will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The camera system is tipped to include a 50-megapixel front-facing sensor along with a 50-megapixel main rear camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.
