The leak points to a redesigned rear camera module, describing it as a compact square housing. The overall design language of the OnePlus 15 will largely carry over. Earlier speculation from the same tipster had placed the OnePlus 16 launch in September 2026, but the latest information suggests a slightly later debut, in October 2026. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, Qualcomm's anticipated next-generation silicon built on a 2nm process node. An earlier battery-related rumor indicated the OnePlus 16 may house a roughly 9,000mAh cell, which would represent one of the largest capacities in a mainstream flagship to date.
