Motorola is preparing to broaden its mid-range portfolio with the imminent arrival of the Moto G77 Power, a device that prioritizes endurance while sharing much of the design language of its Moto G77 sibling. A promotional page now live on Flipkart confirms the official unveiling is set for Wednesday, July 8, and reveals key specifications ahead of the launch.
A Familiar Design with Expanded Battery Life
Visually, the Moto G77 Power closely mirrors the standard Moto G77 5G, retaining the manufacturer’s characteristic fabric-textured back and a gently curved plastic frame. It will be offered in pink, blue, and dark gray color options. The most substantial departure lies in the battery capacity, which jumps from 5,200 mAh to a considerably larger 7,000 mAh, signaling a clear focus on longevity between charges.
The move to such a high-capacity cell aligns with a broader industry trend of bringing extended battery life to more affordable segments. At the same time, the phone accommodates wired audio users by including a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Display and Protection Adjustments
The display configuration sees some nuanced changes. The Moto G77 Power features a slightly smaller 6.72-inch panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,080p+ resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. One trade-off becomes apparent in the thicker bezel beneath the screen compared to the Moto G77, which gives the new model a somewhat less streamlined look.
Camera System and Software Outlook
On the imaging front, Motorola has fitted the device with a 50-megapixel main camera built around a Sony Lytia 600 sensor, supported by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32 MP front-facing selfie shooter. The handset will ship with Android 16, and the Flipkart listing already states that an upgrade to Android 17 is planned, though the full extent of long-term software support has yet to be detailed. With the July 8 launch approaching, remaining information on pricing, regional availability, and further feature specifics is expected to be finalized.
