Nothing has set July 7 as the launch date for its latest mid-range device, the Nothing Phone (4b), which the company is positioning as a more accessible counterpart to the Nothing Phone (4a). In a new teaser shared on Instagram, the device appears for the first time in a red finish, expanding beyond the blue variant previously shown.

A limited-edition color for the Indian market

The red model is being presented as the RCB Edition, a tie-in with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricket team, which Nothing sponsors. This suggests the vivid red version could remain exclusive to India. Beyond the color treatment and an RCB logo on the rear panel, the phone’s hardware design is unchanged. It retains the Glyph Bar with five large rectangular LEDs and a dual-camera system housed in a transparent module.

Core specifications and hardware details

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone (4b) runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 platform, combining four ARM Cortex-A720 performance cores with four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. At least one configuration will ship with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Expected specifications derived from unofficial reports point to a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, and a large 6,000 mAh battery.

Audio companion also on the way

Alongside the smartphone, Nothing is preparing to introduce the Nothing Ear (3a) fully wireless earbuds at a price of €99 ($112). A brief preview posted by the company on X shows the earbuds in a pink color option, though technical details for the audio product have yet to be disclosed.
