Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has returned with fresh details about Oppo’s next-generation flagship, the anticipated Find X10 Ultra, a successor to the camera-focused Find X9 Ultra. The previous model secured third place in a widely followed 2026 camera flagship ranking, positioned just behind two competitors from Vivo. Its dual periscope zoom system—offering 3x and 10x optical reach—remains a distinctive hardware combination with few direct rivals in the smartphone market.
Dual periscope telephoto system under revision
According to the latest leak, Oppo is evaluating a potentially major sensor upgrade for the 10x periscope telephoto lens. Test units are said to be equipped with a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GNB sensor, which would represent a meaningful physical size increase over the 1/1.95-inch Sony Lytia 600 used in the current generation. These specifications remain preliminary, as they come from a pre-production device yet to enter mass production validation, and final hardware choices could still change.
Two 200-megapixel paths for 3x zoom
Equally notable are the options reportedly being explored for the 3x periscope telephoto module. One path keeps the familiar 200-megapixel 1/1.3-inch sensor already deployed in the Find X9 Ultra. The alternative under consideration is noticeably more ambitious: a larger 200-megapixel sensor measuring approximately 1/1.12 inches, a format comparable to sensors normally reserved for primary cameras. It remains unclear which sensor will ultimately reach commercialization.
Front camera may adopt square-format sensor
In a separate remark posted in the comments on Weibo, the leaker indicated that Oppo is testing a front-facing camera built around a square sensor concept similar to the Center Stage camera found in Apple’s iPhone 17 series. Earlier information points to the possibility of a significantly higher-resolution 100-megapixel sensor for this module. This upgraded selfie camera could debut as soon as this autumn with the standard Oppo Find X10 and subsequently appear in the Ultra model expected in 2027. As with all pre-release intelligence, these planning details should be treated with caution until confirmed by Oppo.
