A teaser image published by the company’s China division confirms a full reveal scheduled for July 29.

The device, previously identified in a CMIIT regulatory database listing in May as model CRW-H001, had fueled speculation that the “H” in its model designation could signify an integrated heart rate sensor. That sensor technology would likely mirror the module already featured in Casio’s G-Squad GBD-H2000 series. At the time of the filing, no additional details or public confirmation existed beyond the model number itself.
Now, an official teaser image shows a shadowed ring silhouette accented by a small red glint on one side, a shape closely matching the design language of existing Casio ring watches. Tapping into the smart ring market
The timing aligns with signals flagged by Instagram leaker @geesgshock, who directly connected the upcoming announcement to the May regulatory filing and indicated the CRW-H001 is effectively confirmed as the subject of the reveal. The original CRW-001 ring watch launched in late 2024 to mark Casio’s 50th anniversary. That timepiece focused purely on timekeeping, with features including dual time zones, a 1/100th-second stopwatch, and an LED backlight. It contained no health tracking capabilities and experienced repeated sell-outs, with restocks continuing as recently as July 2025 in the US market.
Should the CRW-H001 incorporate a heart rate sensor, it would position Casio inside a smart ring category overwhelmingly defined by health-first accessories that offer minimal timekeeping. The current landscape is led by devices such as the Oura Ring 4, priced at $399. A confirmed entry by a major traditional watchmaker could broaden the segment’s appeal among users looking for a discreet wearable that balances biometric tracking with familiar wristwatch heritage.
