High-resolution renders have surfaced for Casio’s forthcoming G-Steel releases, the GST-B1000-1A and GST-B1000-2A, providing the clearest view yet of the two models. The earlier leak cycle offered only coarse imagery alongside specifications, but the new images clarify nearly every design detail that was previously obscured.
Dial Layout and Subtle Color Matching
The dial architecture remains consistent with the established GST-B1000 series, featuring a dense but functional arrangement. A day-of-week subdial dominates the left side, incorporating an ON/OFF indicator and dedicated markings for alarm, timer, and stopwatch operation. On the right sits a 24-hour subdial, while a date window is positioned at 5 o’clock. A ribbed horizontal texture runs beneath the G-Shock branding across the center of the face. One refined distinction between the two variants concerns legibility: the blue GST-B1000-2A uses a white date wheel that stands out clearly, whereas the black GST-B1000-1A keeps its date wheel black to match the dial.
Caseback Confirms Key Certification
Examination of the caseback reveals a stainless steel plate carrying the Carbon Core Guard name, Tough Solar certification, module number 5748, and a 20-bar water resistance rating. A red resin accent piece is integrated into the rear of the black variant, while the blue model features a matching blue accent in the same location.
Weight Reduction Headlines the Physical Specs
The updated dimensions are listed at 46.9 mm by 44.2 mm with a thickness of 11.6 mm. The most significant specification, however, is weight: the rubber-strap construction brings the figure down to 58 grams, a substantial drop from the 118 grams recorded on the bracelet-equipped versions. An official launch is anticipated in August.
