Casio has expanded its G-Shock range with a connected fitness-focused addition, introducing the GBA-950 series on its international storefront. The new lineup comprises three analog-digital colorways: the GBA-950-1A4 in black with an orange dial, the GBA-950-7A2 in white with a blue dial, and the GBA-950-9A3 in yellow-green with a dark dial. While official pricing has not yet been confirmed globally, all three variants are currently listed as new arrivals.

Built for Connected Training

The GBA-950 prioritizes smartphone-linked fitness tracking over traditional outdoor sensors. It pairs with Casio’s dedicated app via Bluetooth, enabling automatic time correction and GPS-assisted distance calibration, and the entire series features Strava compatibility. An onboard lifelog system records step count, calorie burn, and distance across the day, with the accumulated data readable directly on the watch face.

Performance Timing and Structured Workouts

A full-featured stopwatch makes the watch practical for running, storing up to 45 records per session with lap and split times, distance, pace, and average pace per lap. An interval timer with up to five configurable time settings is also included, accommodating most structured workout regimens.

Lightweight, Activity-Ready Construction

The case measures 48.5 × 43.9 × 16 mm and weighs 53 grams. Both the case and band are molded from bio-based resin, and the front crystal uses mineral glass. Water resistance is rated at 200 meters, and Casio estimates approximately two years of battery life from a single CR2025 cell. The band applies what the company calls origami engineering, combining an integrated bezel and band structure intended to reduce pressure points during movement.

The donut-shaped dial maintains simultaneous readability for both analog and digital displays. When full visibility of the digital screen is needed, a hand-shift feature moves the analog hands out of the way, ensuring nothing blocks the data during a workout.
