Apple Powerbeats Pro 2 Launching Next Week with AirPods Pro 2 Chip

Apple is set to release its new fitness-oriented earbuds, the Powerbeats Pro 2, possibly as early as next week, according to insights from Apple analyst Mark Gurman. Recent weeks have seen a series of leaks that have given us a glimpse into the design and important features of these earbuds. This latest information not only backs up previous claims but also hints at a potential launch date and pricing in the US.

Expected Launch Date and Pricing

Gurman suggests that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will officially be available on Tuesday, February 11, with a price tag of $250 in the United States. The earbuds are said to be equipped with an Apple H2 chip, which is also found in the AirPods Pro 2. This means users can look forward to a significant enhancement in sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life compared to the first generation of Powerbeats Pro. Additionally, a new feature has been introduced: an optical heart rate sensor built directly into the earbuds to track workout performance. This was highlighted in several leaks and is now backed by Gurman’s report.

Design and Features

Leaked images show that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will sport a refreshed design featuring sleek ear hooks and will be offered in at least four color options: Jet Black, Hyper Purple, Quick Sand, and Electric Orange. While specifics about battery life, charging capabilities, and water resistance remain unclear, it’s reasonable to assume there will be some improvements in these aspects, especially considering that the original Powerbeats Pro launched back in 2019 for $153.49 on Amazon.

European Pricing Insights

In Europe, the anticipated price is expected to be around €299.95, according to an earlier leak from Deallabs and @billbil_kun.
