Xiaomi is preparing to introduce a new flip phone model, the Mix Flip, following in the footsteps of Samsung's upcoming release. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, recent certification has provided insights into its design and features.
Xiaomi Mix Flip Visits NCC
The Chinese tech company’s forthcoming Mix Flip foldable phone was recently seen on the NCC certification platform, as reported by MySmartPrice. Alongside the documentation, live images of the device were also made available. The Mix Flip is identified by the model number 2405CPX3DG. The images reveal that the phone features a dual camera setup on the cover display, with a punch hole cutout for the front-facing selfie camera.
Aside from the camera setup, there are few other prominent features visible. The phone is shown in a black color option with a simple aesthetic, marked only by the Xiaomi branding at the bottom. Additionally, the NCC listing revealed the phone's charging adapter, the MDY1-EV, confirming support for 67W wired fast charging. The Mix Flip is anticipated to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a high-end processor. It was earlier spotted on the 3C certification in China in May under the model number 2405CPX3DC. The device is rumored to come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. In terms of camera capabilities, the Mix Flip is expected to boast a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera, offering 2x optical zoom. Other notable features include a 4-inch cover display and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
