Xiaomi has unveiled a special edition of its Xiaomi 15 Custom Edition, named the Spring Festival Gift, to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival. This unique version features a lively design and includes additional perks, making it an appealing choice in the premium smartphone market as the Chinese New Year draws near.
Attractive Color and Packaging
The model comes in a striking Rouge Red, a hue that was first introduced when the device launched last year. This new edition has completely new packaging, adorned with festive messages that honor the traditional colors of the Lunar New Year. Moreover, the device takes advantage of China’s new national subsidy policy, which gives a 15% discount on devices costing up to 6,000 yuan ($828).
Initially listed at 4,999 yuan ($690), the price has dropped to 4,499 yuan ($621), thanks to a 500 yuan ($69) subsidy. To sweeten the deal, Xiaomi is also offering 1,000 sets of double movie tickets with each purchase, blending cutting-edge technology with considerable festive appeal.
Premium Specifications
This high-end phone comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and it’s exclusively available on Xiaomi Mall. Buyers can customize their device from a wide array of options, picking from 20 colors and 40 different combinations to tailor their phone to their liking.
As for specifications, the Xiaomi 15 features a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED LTPO display that boasts up to 3200 nits of brightness and a refresh rate ranging from 1-120Hz. It also has a flat aviation-grade aluminum frame, a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, and up to 16GB RAM, along with advanced cooling tech.
Impressive Camera and Battery Life
The device includes a triple rear camera setup featuring 50MP sensors, all equipped with Leica lenses, and supports advanced computational photography. Additionally, it has a 5400mAh battery that allows for 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with a robust build that comes with an IP68 rating.
Reports indicate that the 15 series has been extremely successful in the Chinese market, with over 2 million units sold, leading the premium smartphone segment ahead of rivals like Huawei’s Mate 70 series.
