Vivo Y36s: Dimensity 6020 SoC, 6GB RAM on Google Play Console

Vivo is preparing to introduce the Vivo Y36s smartphone to the global market in the near future. This upcoming device seems to be a rebranded iteration of the Vivo G2, which initially debuted in China earlier this year.

Vivo G2 Rebranding

The connection between the Y36s and the G2 is evident from a Google Play Console listing, where the Y36s was identified with the same model number (PD2318) as the G2. Both gadgets share similar specifications, such as the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 720×1612 display resolution, and Android 13. Notably, the Vivo G2 itself is a rebranded version of the Vivo Y36i, which first appeared in China in December 2023.

Expected Features of Vivo Y36s

Looking ahead to the Vivo Y36s, it is possible that additional specifications of the upcoming device will mirror those of the Vivo G2. The Y36s may feature a 6.56-inch LCD display with a teardrop notch, delivering an HD+ resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device might house a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

Hardware Details

Powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset, the Y36s could offer up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and support storage capacities of up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2, expandable through a microSD card slot. The phone is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 15W charging via USB-C. Additional features may include dual SIM functionality, 5G support, 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
