Reports indicate that the upcoming Vivo V50 smartphone carries the model number V2427. This device has appeared in the Geekbench benchmarking database, disclosing its chipset, RAM, and operating system version. The listing verifies that it’s the third phone in the V-series line featuring the same chipset.
Vivo V50 Geekbench Information
The screenshot above displays the Vulkan score for the Vivo V50 (V2427), which comes with Adreno 720 graphics. The details regarding the CPU and GPU provided in the listing confirm that the V50 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Additionally, it shows that the device includes 8 GB of RAM and runs on Android 15.
Previous Models and Chipset Usage
Vivo has utilized the same chipset in earlier versions of the V-series, like the Vivo V40 and V30, which were revealed in 2024. For those unaware, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip was announced back in November 2023. The Vulkan score of 4122 points for the V50 on Geekbench 6 suggests satisfactory mid-range GPU performance, which means it should handle gaming and graphics rendering well, although it won’t match flagship performance levels. After all, the V-series is primarily aimed at photography enthusiasts rather than high-performance gaming.
Camera and Variants
Sources say that the V50 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It is also said to come with a 50-megapixel front camera that supports autofocus. Depending on the market, it is likely to be available in configurations such as 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB. The expected color options include Rose Red, Blue, and Grey.
Display and Battery Features
The V50 will showcase a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is anticipated to have an IP68 rating and be powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging capabilities. The smartphone is likely to be launched on February 18 in India.
