Vivo Introduces the V40 SE 5G for the Mid-Range Market
Vivo has recently launched the V40 SE 5G, alongside its premium foldable smartphones, the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. Unlike its higher-priced counterparts, the V40 SE is geared towards the mid-range segment.
Vivo has not disclosed the official pricing yet. Currently available in Austrian and European markets, the phone is set to be the official smartphone for Euro 2024.
Vivo V40 SE 5G Specifications:
The V40 SE 5G features a spacious 6.67-inch Ultra Vision AMOLED Display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 1200 nits. It can reach up to 1,800 nits for HDR content, ensuring optimal visibility even in bright outdoor settings. The display supports the DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant colors. With dimensions of 158.3 x 73.1 x 7.79 mm and weighing 185.5g, it offers a comfortable grip.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, the device delivers reliable performance for daily tasks and light gaming. It is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with the option to expand storage up to 1TB using a microSD card. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
Camera and Battery Features:
The V40 SE 5G sports a triple-camera setup on the rear, including a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera.
Featuring a 5,000mAh battery, the V40 SE supports 44W fast charging, capable of charging the device up to 50% in approximately 24.5 minutes. It also incorporates Smart Charging Engine 2.0 and Overnight Charging Protection for enhanced battery longevity.
Design and Additional Features:
Available in Crystal Black with a composite plastic back and Leather Purple with a vegan leather back, the V40 SE offers aesthetic diversity. Both variants come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
