Infinix has launched its new Infinix Zero Flip, a foldable phone that flips, in India. Meanwhile, its sister brand Tecno is preparing to introduce the Phantom V Fold 2, a book-style foldable device, in the same market. A recent post on X from Tecno indicates that the original Phantom V Fold, which was released last year, is now sold out. The brand's latest teaser states, “A new chapter will unfold soon,” hinting at the upcoming release of the Phantom V Fold 2 in India.
Phantom V Fold 2 Launch Anticipation
Last month, Tecno made an announcement regarding the Phantom V Fold 2 in Africa. The brand also confirmed that the device would be available in various markets, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. It was launched globally at a price of $1,099 (around Rs 92,400). For reference, the Phantom V Fold was initially priced at Rs 88,888 in India, suggesting that its successor might be similarly priced.
Specifications of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2
The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 stands as a high-end foldable smartphone boasting impressive features. It sports a 6.42-inch AMOLED LTPO external display with a resolution of 2550 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz, in addition to 2160Hz PWM dimming for better viewing comfort. When opened, it reveals a large 7.85-inch foldable AMOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 2296 x 2000 pixels, also featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz PWM dimming.
