TCL unveiled its 50 series at the 2024 MWC event, with the official release following in April 2024. The series includes the TCL 50 5G, TCL 50 SE, TCL 505, and TCL 501. It seems TCL is preparing to expand the lineup soon. For instance, the TCL 50 XL 5G was launched earlier in the US.
TCL 50L 5G & TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G
We have identified two new TCL phones in our database: the "TCL 50L 5G" and the "TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G." While the release dates and specifications remain undisclosed, TCL has started developing these models. The TCL 50L 5G has the model number “T550K,” and the TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G is listed as “T803E.”

Our current understanding of the upcoming TCL phones is limited to their model numbers and market names. TCL has previously introduced phones with the “NXTPAPER” display, including models in the TCL 50 series. For example, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER showcased this technology. TCL is known for its innovative display advancements, such as the NXTPAPER technology, which reduces harmful blue light by 61% while maintaining clarity and vividness. The earlier TCL 40 NXTPAPER featured a FullHD screen and a 90Hz refresh rate. Some tablets also include the NXTPAPER feature.
TCL’s display innovations are impressive, although the phones might not always have high-end specs. For instance, the basic TCL 50 5G model is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset and only comes with a 4GB RAM variant. While detailed specs are unknown, the upcoming TCL 50L and TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER models might also use a MediaTek chipset.
