  • YouTube Premium Price Increase in the US 2023

YouTube Premium Price Increase in the US 2023

    Key Takeaway

    1. YouTube Premium prices have increased in the US across all plans, including Individual, Family, and Student options.
    2. The price hike is already visible on YouTube’s signup pages, with existing members billed at the new rates during their next billing cycle at least 30 days after the announcement.
    3. Premium Lite, a lower-cost option with fewer features, has also increased to $8.99 per month.
    4. The price increase prompts users to consider if the benefits of ad-free viewing, downloads, background play, and bundled Music access still justify the new costs.

YouTube has recently decided to increase the prices of their Premium plans for folks in the US. If you check their pricing pages now, you’ll see that the YouTube Premium Individual is priced at $15.99 every month, while the annual plan costs $159.99. The Family plan is now $26.99 monthly, and for students, it is set at $8.99 each month. Techmeme reports that the regular individual plan went up by $2, and the family plan’s price increased by $4. Premium Lite, a more affordable option, also got a bump of $1, now costing $8.99 a month.

    Prices Now Displayed Clearly

This new rates are no longer hidden behind initial account notices but are already for everyone to see on YouTube’s signup pages in the US. When you visit the main Premium page, you’ll see the different prices for individual, annual, family, and student plans all together on one selector. On the family plan page, YouTube still promotes it as a household plan that can cover up to six different accounts, making it seem like a good deal for families.

    Notification and Billing Policy

According to YouTube’s official help guides, if your plan is set to increase in price, you’ll receive an email alert at least 30 days before the change in your country or region. For those already subscribed, the new rate will be billed starting from the first billing cycle that begins at least 30 days after the price hike. New subscribers will automatically pay the updated price right at signup, with no waiting period. It’s a straightforward process meant to keep users informed and prepared for the changes.

    Impact on Different Service Tiers

The price increases touch not only the full Premium plan but also the cheaper Premium Lite plan in the US. As per YouTube’s help page, Premium Lite now costs $8.99 per month. This plan markets itself as an option for people who mainly want to enjoy fewer ads on most videos on YouTube and YouTube Kids. However, it’s important to note that some ads still pop up on music videos, Shorts, and during searches or browsing. Plus, it doesn’t come with the YouTube Music Premium feature or other premium perks, making it a lighter, less expensive alternative for ad-minimized viewing.

    What It Means for Users

This increase marks yet another change in YouTube’s pricing landscape in the US, following earlier hikes in the Premium Family plan and the introduction of Premium Lite at a lower starting price. For consumers trying to decide whether or not to keep paying, the big question becomes: are the benefits like ad-free videos, downloads, background playback, and bundled Music and Premium features still worth the new monthly fee? Many will ponder if the added costs are justified by the improved experience or if they should reconsider their subscription options.

    5. Pricing information for the US is not confirmed, but the Osmo Action 6 may start at $379 for the Standard Bundle.

Earlier today, DJI revealed information about its upcoming second launch event this November. The company is set to introduce the Osmo Mobile 8 tomorrow, with the Osmo Action 6 following closely behind in less than two weeks. Before its official launch on November 18, a leaker known as billbil-kun has reportedly gotten the pricing details for the new action camera ahead of time.

    Pricing Information

According to a post on Dealabs, the leaker mentioned that DJI plans to release the Osmo Action 6 in two different packages. One of these is referred to as the Standard Bundle Combo, similar to the previous Osmo Action 5 Pro, which currently retails for $349 on Amazon. If we consider last year’s release of the Osmo Action, the Standard Bundle is expected to include the camera itself along with accessories like a removable battery, protective frame, lens protectors, and adapters for various mounting options.

    Bundle Details

It appears that the Standard Bundle will be priced at £329 in the UK and €379 in the Eurozone. Meanwhile, the Adventure Combo is rumored to come with an additional £10 fee in the UK, pushing its price up to £419.

On the flip side, billbil-kun claims that the Adventure Combo will stay at a €479 MSRP in the Eurozone for the new Osmo Action 6 model. Currently, the leaker has indicated that the pricing information for the US is not yet confirmed. However, they anticipate a possible $30 increase in prices across the board in the US market. This means the Osmo Action 6 could start at $379 and reach $479 if purchased as the Adventure Combo bundle.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE US Pricing Leak Reveals Good News

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Galaxy S25 FE is anticipated to launch in early September, with no confirmed date or pricing from Samsung yet.
    2. Pricing for the US models is expected to remain the same as the Galaxy S24 FE, with the 8 GB + 128 GB version priced at $650 and the 8 GB + 256 GB version at $710.
    3. The European pricing is estimated at €749 for the base model, €809 for the 256 GB version, and €929 for the 512 GB model, aligning with the previous Galaxy S24 FE prices.
    4. The Galaxy S25 FE may feature the same system on chip (SoC) as its predecessor, with potential minor improvements in battery performance and a slightly thinner and lighter design.
    5. The phone is rumored to be available in four colors: Icy Blue, Navy, Jet Black, and White, and will likely launch earlier than the Galaxy S24 FE did last year.

The Galaxy S25 FE has gained significant attention recently, with its anticipated launch set for early September. Although Samsung has yet to announce a specific date or pricing details for the device, a recent leak provides insight into its possible cost in the United States. Fans of the budget-flagship lineup can rejoice, as it appears there will be no increase in price this time around.

    Pricing Details

This information stems from listings found on Shi, an IT solutions firm, revealing the prices for the 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB versions of the Galaxy S25 FE. The first variant is listed at $650, while the second is set at $710. This is encouraging news, especially in light of the current tariff issues, as these prices align with those of the previous Galaxy S24 FE models (available on Amazon). Interestingly, the 512 GB variant was absent from the listings, which aligns with Samsung’s decision not to release the 512 GB option in the US market.

    European Pricing Insights

Earlier this month, a leak provided insights into the expected pricing for the Galaxy S25 FE in France, where the base model is pegged at €749. The 256 GB version is estimated to retail for €809, and the 512 GB model is predicted to cost €929. These prices match those of the Galaxy S24 FE in Europe.

Samsung seems to be maintaining the same pricing strategy for the Galaxy S25 FE as it did for the Galaxy S24 FE. Moreover, the phone is likely to feature the same system on chip (SoC). However, there might be a minor improvement in battery performance. The Galaxy S25 FE is rumored to be available in four colors: Icy Blue, Navy, Jet Black, and White. Additionally, it is expected to be slightly thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor.

    Launch Date Speculation

As previously mentioned, Samsung has not confirmed a launch date for the Galaxy S25 FE. However, they have indicated that the phone will debut earlier than the Galaxy S24 FE did last year.
