Lenovo ThinkPad 14″ International Launch: Cellular & 64GB RAM

    Key Takeaway

    – ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 launched internationally with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors, but not yet in North America or parts of Europe.
    – Pricing is significantly higher than initially claimed, starting at €2,222 in Ireland and £1,905 in the UK.
    – Base specs vary by region: Europe starts with Ryzen AI 7 445, 32GB RAM, 512GB storage; Asia-Pacific starts with lower-end Ryzen AI 5 430, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage.
    – Configurable with up to 64GB DDR5-5600 RAM, 2TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD, and optional 4G modem/fingerprint reader/57Wh battery.
    – Only 1200p, 60Hz, 400-nit, 45% NTSC display available; Intel models expected globally later in 2026.

ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 Finally Hits Shelves Worldwide

The new ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 is now being sold internationaly with AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors inside. This 14-inch machine has already touched down in countries like Australia, parts of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and some European nations. Despite Lenovo saying just a few weeks ago that a May 2026 launch was coming, they havent started selling it in North America or places like France and Germany yet.

    Unexpected Price Hikes Confuse Buyers

Lenovo originally claimed the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 would cost around €1,500 to take over from the Gen 6 model we looked at back in January. While that older version had way faster processors than the one before it, the ThinkPad L16 still uses AMD Zen 5 chips for its seventh generation. Sadly, the L14 Gen 7 is turning out to be way more costly than Lenovo told us, just like what happend with the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 earlier.

European Pricing Starts Much Higher Than Expected

Right now, the starting price is €2,222 in Ireland and £1,905 in the UK. A big reason for this is that in those places, the laptop comes with a Ryzen AI 7 445 chip, 512 GB of storage, and 32 GB of memory. On the other hand, Lenovo sells the exact same machine in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore with a weaker Ryzen AI 5 430, only 256 GB of storage, and just 16 GB of RAM inside it.

Configuration Options Are Limited and Costly

In Europe, you can only set up the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 with pricier parts as well. At the moment, the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450 is the only other processor choice over there, which Lenovo prices at €2,374 or £2,035. Meanwhile, the laptop goes for AUD 1,929, HKD 8,974, and SGD 1,738. Thats over 20% off in both Hong Kong and Singapore though.

Top Specs and Features Across All Regions

Putting that aside, you can get the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 solid state drive in every market. Lenovo also sells a Snapdragon X12 4G modem, a fingerprint reader, and a bigger 57 Wh battery instead of the usual 46.5 Wh one. But they only offer 1200p screens with 60 Hz refresh, 400 nits brightness and 45% NTSC color coverage. Intel versions are supposed to come out world wide later on in 2026.

New Dell Pro 3 Series 16 Laptop Launches with AMD Ryzen AI Options

Dell is now selling a new laptop in its Pro 3 lineup. To recap, the company announced in March that the Pro 3 series would be replacing last years Pro 14 and Pro 16 models. While that did not come to pass, the Pro 3 Series 16 is now available to purchase with AMD Ryzen AI 400 options.

    Configuration and Performance Specifications

Specifically, the Pro 3 Series 16 (P316265) can be configured with either the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, the Ryzen AI 7 450 or the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450. Also, these Zen 5 processors can be complemented by 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. On top of that, Dells P316265 variant comes with a choice between 45 Wh, 57 Wh or 70 Wh batteries with dedicated Long Life Cycle options.

    Connectivity and Display Details

Moreover, one can add Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity over the Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2-capable modem that comes as standard. However, while Dell mentions 4G cellular connectivity in its technical specifications, we cannot find a way to configure this yet in any country. The P316265 can be purchased with a display containing the hardware to handle 4G connectivity, though. New Dell Laptop Series Launches

Dell is now selling the Pro 5 Series 14 with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors if you can believe it. To recap, the company unveiled the Pro 5 series in March before releasing Intel Panther Lake models in early May with LPCAMM2 RAM. Later that month, Dell complemented these Panther Lake versions with cheaper Wildcat Lake alternatives, what a strategic move.

    Global Availibility and Features

Now, the P514265 is available to purchase globally as a smaller alternative to the P516265. Replacing the Pro 14 (curr. $869.99 on Amazon), the Pro 5 Series 14 (P514265) lacks LPCAMM2 support that Dell affords to its Panther Lake-backed sibling. Nonetheless, the 14-inch laptop can be configured with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM that is user-replaceable via dual SODIMM slots. Moreover, the P514265 supports PCIe Gen 5 SSDs and 45 Wh, 57 Wh or 70 Wh batteries.

    Connectivity and Processor Choices

Also, 4G or 5G cellular connectivity is available, as are Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7-capable modems. At the time of writing, these connectivity options can be paired with the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, Ryzen AI 7 450, Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, Ryzen AI 9 Pro 465 or the range-topping Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 featuring AMD’s Radeon 890M iGPU. On top of that, Dell sells six display options, including 1200p OLED and 1600p IPS panels. Please note that the latter has a 120 Hz variable refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness, unlike its OLED counterpart.

    Pricing and Regional Details

The Dell Pro 5 Series 14 (P514265) starts at $2,139 with a Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p display. Meanwhile, the same configuration retails for £1,717 in the UK, as well as €1,923 in the Eurozone and CAD 2,731 in Canada. However, those in Australia must call to order a P514265, which seems rather inconvienient. Please see Dell’s website for more details.

    – Available globally, though order placement requires a phone call in Australia.

New Dell Pro 5 Series 16 Laptop Variants

Dell has returned to its Pro 5 Series 16 laptop with new versions, so lets look. To recap, the company introduced Intel Panther Lake-based models at the start of May 2026. Replacing the Pro 16 PC16255 (curr. $1,199 on Amazon), the P516260 was complemented last week by Wildcat Lake-based SKUs in Europe.

AMD Ryzen AI 400 Processor Options Start

Alternatively, Dell sells the Pro 5 Series 16 with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors. Available globally, P516265 variants start with a Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 but can be configured with up to the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470. For reference, the latter enjoys a 49% performance improvement over the former in our benchmarks, which extends to over 80% in GPU workloads.

    Memory, Storage and Battery Configurations

Also, Dell sells the P516265 with up to 2 TB of storage and 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. While user-replaceable, this RAM is neither as fast nor as energy efficient as the LPCAMM2 equivalent in the P516260. Setting that aside, Dell lists 45 Wh, 57 Wh and 70 Wh battery configurations, which can be supported by 65 W, 100 W or 65 W GaN chargers. Moreover, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 modems are available, as are Snapdragon X12 4G cellular and MediaTek T700 5G cellular modems.

    Display and Pricing Details

The P516265 can be configured with up to a 1600p, 500-nit and 120 Hz VRR display with an anti-glare coating too. All display options are IPS-based, though. Currently, the Pro 5 Series 16 (P516265) starts at $2,099 in the US for a substantial saving over Panther Lake-based models. Comparable pricing exists in other markets too, although one must call Dell to place an order in Australia.

  • Dell Launches Thin 14-Inch Laptop Globally with Arc B390 & Radeon 890M

Dell Launches Thin 14-Inch Laptop Globally with Arc B390 & Radeon 890M

    – Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 14 launches globally with Intel Panther Lake, LPCAMM2 RAM, and Ubuntu Linux support.
    – At over 1.8 kg, the 14-inch model is heavier than many gaming laptops and the MacBook Pro 14.
    – The lighter 14S variant starts at 1.4 kg with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors, or 1.6 kg with Intel.
    – All 14S models share similar ports (USB4 for AMD, Thunderbolt 4 for Intel) and display options up to QHD+ 120 Hz IPS.
    – Pricing starts at ~$2,400 for Intel and ~$2,200 for AMD, with configs up to 64 GB RAM and 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 storage.

    Dell Launches New Workstation Lineup

Dell has just started selling the Pro Precision 5 Series 14 globally. As we have covered separately, the new 14-inch laptop combines Intel’s Panther Lake platform with LPCAMM2 and Ubuntu Linux support out of the box. This makes it a attractive option for developers and enterprise users who want a unix-like enviroment without tinkering.

    Weight and Portability Concerns

However, the Pro Precision 5 Series 14 is comparatively heavy for a 14-inch laptop at over 1.8 kg. For context, gaming laptops like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Razer Blade 14 (2025) weigh less than the Pro Precision 5 Series 14, as does Apple’s MacBook Pro 14 that we reviewed at the end of 2025 (curr. $1,499 on Amazon). For those after a more lightweight alternative, Dell is now selling the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S too.

    Lightweight 14S Models Detailed

To recap, Dell claimed that the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S is its ‘thinnest and lightest’ mobile workstation when unveiling the laptop in March 2026. Practically speaking, the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S starts at 1.4 kg with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors and is 10.8~19.1 mm thick. While Intel Panther Lake alternatives are just as thick, they start at 200 g heavier than their AMD counterparts.

    Ports and Display Options

The pair share the same ports though, albeit Thunderbolt 4 for Intel models and USB4 for AMD models. All variants can be configured with up to a 120 Hz, 500-nit and QHD+ IPS display too. Although an OLED alternative is available, it is an FHD+ panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness. Setting that aside, the Pro Precision 5 Series 14S can also be configured with 57 Wh or 70 Wh batteries, including dedicated Long Lifecycle variants.

    Intel Configuration Pricing and specs

The Pro Precision 5 Series 14 starts at around $2,400/£1,700/€1,945 with a Core Ultra 5 336H vPro, 16 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM, a 256 GB SSD and an FHD+ display with 45% NTSC colour space coverage. Intel variants can be configued with up to 64 GB LPCAMM2 RAM, 2 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage and a Core Ultra X9 388H vPro featuring Arc B390 graphics. The base model is for light tasks only.

    AMD Variants and Pricing

Meanwhile, AMD variants start at just over $2,200/£1,600/€1,800 with soldered LPDDR5X RAM, 256 GB of storage, the same display and a Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 processor. Configuration options go up to the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470, 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage for AMD models. Please see Dell’s website for more information. The memory cannot be upgraded after purchase due to it being solderd!

    – AMD models are significantly cheaper than Intel variants, even as pre-configured units.
    – Starting AMD config (Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 1200p touch) starts at $2,421 in US.
    – Configurable up to Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470, 64GB RAM, 2TB PCIe Gen 5, 5G, and Wi-Fi 7.
    – Display limited to 500-nit IPS with 100% sRGB; no OLED option available.

Dell has just released the Pro 7 Series 13 as a 2-in-1 powered by Intel Panther Lake processors. At the same time, the company is offering the same laptop with AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 400 processors as a smaller alternative to older AMD 2-in-1s like the Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 we reviewed in July 2026.

    Pricing and Configuration Differences

Surprisingly, these Pro 7 Series 13 2-in-1 AMD options are much cheaper than their Intel counterparts. For context, Dell charges £2,914, $2,989 and €3,277 for pre-configured Intel variants. However, these prices drop to £2,230, $2,539 and €2,501 when one dips into Dell’s configurator. Nonetheless, Dell sells AMD models for less in the US, even as a pre-configured model.

    Current AMD Model Pricing

Currently, the Pro 7 Series 13 2-in-1 (P703265) starts at $2,421 in the US and $2,500 as a pre-configured model featuring the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p touchscreen display. Meanwhile, Dell’s new AMD-based 2-in-1 costs at least £2,093 in the UK and €2,346 in the Eurozone, or £2,699 and €3,034 for pre-configured units.

    Available Specifications and Upgrades

The P703265 can be configured with the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, Ryzen AI 9 Pro 465 and the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470, as well as 32 GB or 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. Moreover, Dell sell the 2-in-1 with up to 5G cellular and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and 2 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage. Only a 500 nit IPS display with 100% sRGB colour space coverage can be equipped, though. Please see Dell’s website for more details.

    • Intel pre-configured: £2,914 / $2,989 / €3,277
    • Intel configurator price: £2,230 / $2,539 / €2,501

    • AMD pre-configured (US): $2,500
    • AMD UK starting: £2,093
    • AMD UK pre-configured: £2,699
    • AMD Eurozone starting: €2,346
    • AMD Eurozone pre-configured: €3,034
    • Processor options: Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, Ryzen AI 9 Pro 465, Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470
    • RAM: 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB LPDDR5X-8533
    • Storage: up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 5
    • Connectivity: 5G cellular, Wi-Fi 7
    • Display: 1200p IPS touchscreen, 500 nits, 100% sRGB

    Regional Pricing Variations

Dell Germany, Dell UK & Dell US offer varying configurations at these price points, so its important to compare local listings for the best deal. The display options are limited to a single 500 nit IPS panel, which may disappoint some users wanting OLED or higher resolution. Overall, the AMD models present a compelling value proposition for a high-end 2-in-1 convertible.
