New Dell Laptop Series Launches

Dell is now selling the Pro 5 Series 14 with AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors if you can believe it. To recap, the company unveiled the Pro 5 series in March before releasing Intel Panther Lake models in early May with LPCAMM2 RAM. Later that month, Dell complemented these Panther Lake versions with cheaper Wildcat Lake alternatives, what a strategic move.

Global Availibility and Features

Now, the P514265 is available to purchase globally as a smaller alternative to the P516265. Replacing the Pro 14 (curr. $869.99 on Amazon), the Pro 5 Series 14 (P514265) lacks LPCAMM2 support that Dell affords to its Panther Lake-backed sibling. Nonetheless, the 14-inch laptop can be configured with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM that is user-replaceable via dual SODIMM slots. Moreover, the P514265 supports PCIe Gen 5 SSDs and 45 Wh, 57 Wh or 70 Wh batteries.

Connectivity and Processor Choices

Also, 4G or 5G cellular connectivity is available, as are Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7-capable modems. At the time of writing, these connectivity options can be paired with the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, Ryzen AI 7 450, Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, Ryzen AI 9 Pro 465 or the range-topping Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 featuring AMD’s Radeon 890M iGPU. On top of that, Dell sells six display options, including 1200p OLED and 1600p IPS panels. Please note that the latter has a 120 Hz variable refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness, unlike its OLED counterpart.

Pricing and Regional Details

The Dell Pro 5 Series 14 (P514265) starts at $2,139 with a Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p display. Meanwhile, the same configuration retails for £1,717 in the UK, as well as €1,923 in the Eurozone and CAD 2,731 in Canada.
