Samsung has introduced the Premiere series, a new line of projectors designed to deliver a premium home theatre experience, moving away from the budget-friendly smart projectors we've often discussed.
Samsung Premiere Models: Premiere 9 & Premiere 7
The Premiere series includes two models: Premiere 9 and Premiere 7. These projectors are capable of projecting up to a 130-inch image (120 inches for the Premiere 7) and support HDR10+ for sharper and more vibrant visuals. Both versions natively support 4K resolution, with features like AI Upscaling and Vision Booster to further enhance content quality. The Premiere 9 utilizes triple laser technology for precise color accuracy and can output up to 3,450 ISO lumens, covering 154 percent of the DCI P3 color gamut.
Features of the Samsung Premiere Series
In contrast, the Premiere 7 offers 2,500 ISO lumens and covers 100 percent of the DCI P3 color space. These projectors are designed as ultra short throw models, meaning they can be positioned close to the projection surface. Samsung focused on creating a sleek design, featuring compact projectors with a minimalist white, rounded body, and a premium Kvadrat fabric finish.
Enhanced Home Theatre Experience
To elevate the home theatre experience, Samsung equipped the Premiere projectors with built-in Dolby Atmos speakers. The Premiere 9 is fitted with 40W 2.2.2 channel speakers, while the Premiere 7 includes 30W 2.2 channel speakers. Additional features include access to popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video, cloud-based gaming without a console, Tap View, and simple smartphone mirroring.
Pricing and Availability
Announced in the US, Canada, and China, the Samsung Premiere 9 is priced at 5,999 US Dollars, and the Premiere 7 is available for 2,999 US Dollars. These projectors are expected to launch in other regions later this year.
