Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris, alongside the standard Galaxy Z Flip 6. This special edition comes with a unique design and exclusive services in anticipation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition: What Sets It Apart?
The South Korean tech giant has adorned the special edition variant with the iconic Olympic rings and Paralympic agitos in gold. However, aside from these design elements, its hardware is identical to the standard Galaxy Z Flip 6. This phone is exclusively designed for the athletes competing in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games, meaning it won't be available for public purchase. It's more than just a visually appealing version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6; it serves a unique purpose. Samsung has equipped the device with a variety of useful apps and exclusive services.
Athletes will have access to Athlete 365, 6 Olympic Shop, Paris 2024, Transport Accred App, and the IOC hotline. Each Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition includes an eSIM with 100GB of 5G data, courtesy of a partnership with Orange, and comes with two years of international warranty. Additionally, athletes can use the phone for wireless payments via Samsung Wallet. There is even a preloaded app that allows for free beverages from vending machines throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Village, in collaboration with Worldwide Partner.
