Samsung is rumored to be developing the Galaxy Watch 7 series, its upcoming range of high-end smartwatches. Before any official announcements, both the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra have appeared on a Chinese certification platform. Here’s what we know.

The next-gen smartwatches from the South Korean tech leader were detected on the 3C certification (Via MySmartPrice). The Galaxy Watch 7 came with the SM-L315 model number, while the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra was listed under the SM-705 model number. The certification database in China indicates that both models are LTE versions. Additionally, it confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 7 series uses an adapter with the EP-T1510 model number for charging, at least in the testing phase.

Samsung plans to host the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. This event will see the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones. It’s also anticipated that the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup will be unveiled during this major event. Just last week, the Galaxy Watch 7 was listed on Amazon Canada, revealing some of its specifications and features like 128GB storage, Bluetooth connectivity, Activity Tracker, Alarm Clock, and Contactless Payments.

Features and Pricing

The Galaxy Watch 7 will feature a circular display with a 40mm screen. It will support the BioActiveSensor2 for more precise heart rate monitoring during workouts and sleep. These advanced smartwatches may also serve as an AI companion that operates during sleep, exercise, and communication. According to the e-retailer listing, the Galaxy Watch 7 is set for launch on July 16, 2024, priced at 358.55 CAD (approximately 262 US Dollars). Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra is expected to be priced between 689 to 699 Euros.
