It’s common knowledge that Samsung has new smartphones set to launch later this month. To summarize, the company revealed the date for its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event just a week ago. Moreover, it clearly stated the arrival of the ‘new Galaxy S series’, which it confidently asserted would ‘raise the standard once more’ for smartphone ‘AI experiences’.
Exciting Teasers Ahead
Samsung’s newest teaser, a quick 17-second video on YouTube, reinforces this idea. The video, which is embedded below, indicates that Samsung is gearing up to introduce a fresh digital assistant, which the company is attempting to promote as a ‘true AI companion’. However, it seems unlikely that this digital assistant will be a product of Google, even with the growing trend of pre-installing Google services in One UI in recent years.
Speculations on Bixby
Rather, we believe Samsung is hinting at a new iteration of Bixby, crafted around Large Language Models (LLMs). It will be interesting to see if this digital assistant can effectively tackle complex, multi-part questions like those mentioned below in real-world scenarios. Any new software enhancements should become available for current Samsung Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, which also includes the more affordable Galaxy S24 FE (currently priced at $549.99 on Amazon). Interestingly, specifications for all three Galaxy S25 flagship models were leaked online last week, and we have addressed that separately.
