Samsung launched the Galaxy M55 5G earlier this year. Now, it appears that the South Korean brand is developing a new iteration of the device, as suggested by recent reports. The forthcoming model, reportedly named the Galaxy M55s, has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform after previously gaining WiFi Alliance certification.

The Samsung Galaxy M55s is identified by the model number SM-M558B in the Geekbench database. It is listed with a motherboard codenamed "taro," featuring a setup of four cores clocked at 1.8GHz, three cores at 2.36GHz, and a primary core at 2.4GHz. The device includes an Adreno 644 GPU, indicating it will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. According to the listing, the smartphone will come with 8GB of RAM, and additional options may be available at launch. On the software front, it will run on Android 14 OS right out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy M55s achieved scores of 1,033 and 2,309 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Further details about the smartphone remain undisclosed at this time.
