Samsung Galaxy Easy Compensation Program for Flagships Explained

Samsung has made things simpler for Galaxy users in South Korea wanting to sell their old phones. They are launching a new program named “Galaxy Easy Compensation,” which lets users sell their old Galaxy devices straight through Samsung’s official site.

A Simple Process for Selling

The best part? There’s no requirement to buy a new Galaxy device during this process. This means users can switch to a different brand after selling their old device directly to Samsung. The program is set to start tomorrow, January 14.

Maximize Your Old Device’s Value

Through “Galaxy Easy Compensation,” Samsung is changing the game for users looking to part with their old phones. Here’s the plan: users can visit Samsung’s official site to find out the estimated resale value of their eligible Galaxy devices. If they agree with the price, they can send their phones to Samsung by courier for assessment. After checking, Samsung will sort the device into three categories: “Excellent,” “Good,” and “Recycle,” depending on its condition. Afterward, users will receive the right compensation.

Eligible Phones for the Program

Currently, these Galaxy S and Z series models qualify for the program:
– Galaxy S20 series: S20, S20+, S20 Ultra
– Galaxy S21 series: S21, S21+, S21 Ultra
– Galaxy S22 series: S22, S22+, S22 Ultra
– Galaxy S23 series: S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
– Galaxy Z Flip series: Z Flip 3, Z Flip 4, Z Flip 5
– Galaxy Z Fold series: Z Fold 3, Z Fold 4, Z Fold 5

What’s Not Included?

Interestingly, Samsung’s newest flagship models, such as the Galaxy S24 series and the latest foldables, are not part of this program. This might show Samsung’s intent to highlight the value of their latest products. Additionally, the more economical Galaxy A and M series devices, along with Galaxy tablets, laptops, and smartwatches, are also currently not included in the initiative.

However, Samsung’s VP, Jeong Ho-jin, has suggested plans to broaden the program beyond South Korea in the future, though no specific timeline or countries have been revealed yet. Regardless, this action certainly boosts the long-term value of Galaxy devices.
