While there is no official confirmation yet from Samsung on the release date, speculations are circulating that the Galaxy A55 5G might debut in Europe as early as the upcoming week. In support of these speculations, a Russian YouTuber has shared a review video showcasing the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, offering an insightful peek into the unreleased smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A55 Overview

The Galaxy A55 5G presents a familiar Samsung aesthetic, boasting a sleek glass back panel. Its front showcases a 6.64-inch 120Hz AMOLED display featuring a discreet punch-hole for the front camera. Notably, the display is equipped with Vision Booster and HDR 10+ support. Furthermore, the phone incorporates Samsung’s Key Island design, a distinct feature on the right edge housing the power and volume controls.

Performance and Specifications

Powering the Galaxy A55 5G is the Exynos 1480 octa-core processor, integrating Samsung’s Xclipse 530 graphics based on the RDNA 2 architecture. Performance benchmarks from the review video reveal the following scores:

  • Geekbench 6: Single-core 1161, multi-core 3398
  • AnTuTu: 713,993

During sustained performance assessments, temperature readings remained stable. The Xclipse 530 GPU demonstrates significant advancements over the Mali-G68 of the prior generation.

Camera and Additional Features

The smartphone sports a 32MP front camera and a rear triple-lens setup comprising a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. Expectedly, the device will come equipped with Android 14 and One UI 6.1, offering configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Other notable features include a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging, face unlock capabilities, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Samsung has yet to formally announce the release of the Galaxy A55 5G. While the review video offers a comprehensive insight into the potential features of the device, it is advisable to exercise caution until an official confirmation is provided by Samsung.
