Samsung is all set to reveal the Galaxy S25 series during the Unpacked event happening tomorrow, January 22. Just hours ahead of this launch, the company released a brief statement confirming that the stable version of One UI 7 will soon be available for the previous Galaxy S-series flagship devices.
Update Details
Specifically, Samsung has stated that the stable edition of the Android 15 skin will be rolled out to all compatible Galaxy S phones before the conclusion of the first quarter this year. This means users can expect the update to arrive by April 2025. The announcement also suggested that the beta testing phase will wrap up shortly.
User Participation and Feedback
In relation to this, Samsung pointed out that a greater number of users engaged in the One UI 7.0 beta program compared to the previous One UI 6.0 beta. The company acknowledged the substantial amount of feedback it received and intends to implement significant changes, ensuring a better user experience moving forward.
Rollout Plan
Naturally, those who purchase a phone from the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to utilize the stable version of One UI 7. Following that, the S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 are likely to be among the initial devices to receive the stable update. Other eligible phones will be updated gradually, with the 128 GB S24 FE currently priced at $549.99 on Amazon.
If you didn’t know, the first beta version of One UI 7.0 made its debut on the Galaxy S24 series in early December. It brought a variety of changes and new features compared to One UI 6.0, such as redesigned app icons, distinct Notifications and Quick panels, as well as several AI-driven capabilities.
