Segway has announced the release of the GT3 Pro folding e-scooter, set to hit the markets in the US and Europe later this year. This new addition was showcased alongside the GT3, or GT3 E, model at CES 2025. Both models are branded as SuperScooters.
Enhanced Performance Features
The GT3 Pro boasts a robust 7,000W dual motor system, significantly outperforming the 2,400W capacity of the standard GT3. This Pro variant can achieve a top speed of 49.7 mph (approximately 80 kph) in just 39 seconds. It is equipped with a 2,160Wh battery, which is claimed to enable a range of up to 86 miles (around 138 km), but this is based on maintaining a lower speed of 16 mph (about 25 kph). The e-scooter is capable of climbing slopes with an incline of up to 38%, while its dual hydraulic suspension ensures a smoother ride.
Smart Technology Integration
At the center of the handlebars, a smart TFT display provides key information such as the e-scooter’s speed and battery status. It also allows for navigation and alerts for incoming calls. Additional features consist of a traction control system (TCS), 11-inch self-sealing tires, and essential accessories including a headlight, turn signals, and brake lights.
Pricing and Availability
While the price for the GT3 Pro has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated to launch in April. Currently, the Segway GT3 e-scooter is available in the US for a reduced price of $1,499.99, which is a $200 discount from the original MSRP of $1,699.99, with this offer ending on January 27th. It can also be pre-ordered via Amazon for $1,599.99. The exact release date for either model in Europe remains uncertain.
