Redmi Note 13 5G global edition upgraded with three rear cameras, replacing the previous dual-camera setup

Earlier today, we shared information about the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series global variant. This new lineup will consist of five devices, with three of them offering 5G connectivity and the remaining two limited to 4G.

Differences in the Redmi Note 13 5G Global Variant

The renders of the Redmi Note 13 5G global variant suggest that it will have three rear cameras, unlike the Chinese variant which only has two. This change in camera setup is similar to what we saw in the Redmi Note 12 5G.

While the primary 108MP main sensor is expected to remain the same, there is no information available about the other two sensors. In the Chinese version, the secondary sensor is a 2MP depth sensor. However, for the global markets, Xiaomi replaced this depth sensor with a 2MP macro snapper and added an additional 8MP ultrawide unit in the Redmi Note 12 5G. It is possible that a similar change could be made for the international variant of the Redmi Note 13 5G.

Specifications and Features of the Redmi Note 13 5G

Apart from the differences in the rear camera setup, the Redmi Note 13 5G global variant is expected to retain all the features of its Chinese counterpart.

The device will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED display. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chip, coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. On the software front, it will run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

Some notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery and support 33W fast charging.

Conclusion

While the Redmi Note 13 5G global variant will have some differences in the camera setup compared to its Chinese counterpart, it is expected to offer similar specifications and features. Xiaomi continues to expand its 5G lineup, catering to the needs of users in different markets. We look forward to the official launch of the Redmi Note 13 series and the availability of these devices in global markets.
