Vivo Introduces New Variant of Vivo Y200 5G in India
Vivo has recently launched a new variant of the Vivo Y200 5G in India. In addition to the existing 8GB+128GB edition, the smartphone now comes in an 8GB+256GB version. The new variant is priced at Rs 23,999 (~$289). Along with this announcement, Vivo has also reduced the prices of the Vivo T2 5G and Vivo Y27. Let’s take a look at the revised prices of both phones.
Vivo T2 5G
Vivo had unveiled the Vivo T2 5G last April in two variants with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. At launch, the models were priced at Rs 18,999 ($229) and Rs 20,999 ($253) respectively, both equipped with 128GB of storage. However, the T2 received a price cut in December last year. As a result, both models are now available at revised prices of Rs 15,999 ($193) and Rs 17,999 ($217) respectively.
Recalling the specifications, the Vivo T2 5G offers a 6.38-inch AMOLED FHD+ 90Hz display with up to 1300 nits of brightness and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and features LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery with 44W rapid charging. It sports a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The revised pricing for the Vivo T2 5G is now applicable on Flipkart and Vivo India’s online store. This price cut seems to be permanent, possibly indicating the imminent arrival of the Vivo T3 5G.
Vivo Y27
The Vivo Y27, which was officially launched in July 2023, has received a price reduction of Rs 1,000. Previously priced at Rs 12,999, the device is now available for Rs 11,999 through Flipkart, Vivo India’s online store, and offline stores. Additionally, buyers can avail up to Rs 1,000 (~$12) cashback using SBI, Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda, DBS Bank, Federal Bank, and IndusInd Bank cards, along with other benefits like V-shield.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo Y27 features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a dual-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. It is powered by the Helio G85 chipset and offers up to 6GB of virtual RAM. The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It runs on FunTouch OS 13-based Android 13 and features a side-facing fingerprint sensor. The device also boasts an IP54-rated chassis.
