The OPPO Reno 12 series has made its debut in China and international markets, but it has yet to be released in India. Recently, the brand confirmed that the Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G will soon be available in the country, alongside some key details about their AI features. A microsite for the upcoming models is now live on OPPO's official website and Flipkart, confirming that the Reno 12 series will be available through the e-commerce platform.
OPPO Reno 12 Series India Launch with AI Features
The OPPO Reno 12 series will sport a flat frame and a rectangular camera island on the back. Although the core specifications haven't been disclosed, they are expected to be similar to the global variants. The exact launch date for the Reno 12 series in India is still under wraps.
The series will incorporate a range of AI features and is being marketed as 'Your everyday AI companions.' For photography, it will include AI Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted elements from photos and AI Best Face to ensure perfect poses in group shots. Additionally, an AI Studio feature based on GenAI will create stylized portraits from a single photo.
Productivity and Connectivity AI Features
The OPPO Reno 12 series will introduce several productivity-focused AI features. The AI Recording Summary, co-developed with Google and Microsoft, can summarize recordings up to five hours long. Another feature, AI Summary, will highlight key points from lengthy content. The AI Writer will assist users in crafting smart, coherent text.
In terms of voice calling and connectivity, the series will include AI-loaded features. The AI Clear Voice will minimize background noise by up to 40 dB. Notably, the smartphones will feature BeaconLink, an industry-first innovation that allows voice calls via Bluetooth when the cellular network is weak or unavailable.
