OPPO K12x Launches with Snapdragon 695 5G, Priced from 1299 Yuan

Oppo K12 was launched in China towards the end of last month. Now the company has introduced another K series smartphone – the Oppo K12x. The phone is available in two color options – titanium air gray and condensed green. Let’s delve into the phone’s offerings.

OPPO K12x specifications and features

The Oppo K12x has a weight of about 191 grams and a thickness of 8.1mm. The front features a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080×2400) flat AMOLED screen with slim bezels, boasting a 92.2% screen-to-body ratio. The display reaches 600 nits in standard lighting and up to 1200 nits under bright outdoor conditions. It can even hit 2100 nits of peak brightness during specific scenarios such as HDR video playback. The screen covers 100% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts and can switch between 120Hz and 60Hz refresh rates.

Additionally, the touch controls remain functional with wet hands, and the hardware-level low blue light emission solution ensures eye safety.

The Oppo K12x is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, built on TSMC’s 6nm process. It is coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The company assures a smooth performance for up to 4 years under normal usage.

It features a dual-camera setup on the rear – a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 5P lens, alongside a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera.

Pre-sales for the phone start today in China, with official sales beginning on May 20. The device is offered in three different storage and memory variants:

  • 8GB+256GB: 1299 yuan (~$179)
  • 12GB+256GB: 1,499 yuan (~$207)
  • 12GB+512GB: 1799 yuan (~$248)
