Oppo introduced the Oppo A3 Pro 5G with an IP69-rated body in April in China. This device is distinct from the A3 Pro that recently launched in India. Today, the company officially announced that the Oppo A3 will debut on July 2 in China. Prior to the launch, the brand has started accepting reservations through offline stores, its official website, and other online platforms like JD, Tmall, Douyin, and Pinduoduo in the domestic market. Oppo A3 Design
Oppo is emphasizing the exceptional durability of the Oppo A3, asserting that not all flat screens offer the same level of resistance to damage. The company claims that the A3 achieves superior drop resistance through the use of high-quality glass, sturdy construction, and the inherent strength of flat screens.
While the technical details of the device are yet to be confirmed, the brand has stated that the A3 will come in three colors: Mountain Green, Tranquillity Black, and Aurora Purple, as depicted in the images below.
Oppo A3 Specifications (Rumored)
The yet-to-be-announced Oppo A3 was recently spotted in China Telecom’s product catalog. The listing disclosed its full specifications and tentative pricing. The device is expected to measure 162.54 x 75.44 x 7.15mm and weigh 179 grams. It will sport a 6.7-inch display with an FHD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels and run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.
The phone might be powered by either the Snapdragon 695 or the newer Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, and it could feature a 5,000mAh battery.
For photography, the A3 may come with an 8-megapixel front camera and a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor. The device is likely to be available in three configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. These models are expected to be priced at 2,099 Yuan ($290), 2,299 Yuan ($315), and 2,599 Yuan (~$360), respectively.
