OnePlus Rolls Out OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 for OnePlus Pad

OnePlus is taking the lead in bringing the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 OS to its eligible smartphones and tablets. Today, the company is releasing OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 for OnePlus Pad, surpassing its competitors in the race. Following the initial rollout of Open Beta 1 a month ago, the new Open Beta version brings fixes and improvements to various features and functions.

The new Beta firmware is already being rolled out to users who have opted for Open Beta 1. It is currently available for users in India and includes the October 2023 Android Security Patch to enhance system security. Additionally, it optimizes system stability and performance. The official changelog provides further details on the changes and improvements.

For those who are new users and wish to join the Open Beta, their device must be running the latest OxygenOS 13.1 version. Furthermore, it is recommended to have at least 4GB of storage space and a battery level of at least 30% before upgrading.

New users may experience a waiting period as OnePlus reviews each application and grants access to the Open Beta firmware. Once approved, users can follow these steps to apply: Go to Settings > About device > Tap "up to date" > Tap the icon on the top right > Beta program > Follow the steps to apply.

OnePlus Pad was launched earlier this year and features the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, with options for 128/256GB storage and 8/12GB RAM. It boasts an 11.61-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 2800 pixels. The display supports HDR10+ and has a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a 13MP single-rear camera and an 8MP front sensor.
