Nubia has officially revealed the Z60S Pro and the Z60 Ultra Leading Edition today. The Z60S Pro will follow last July's Z50S Pro. The new model will be unveiled at 14:00 on July 23 in China.
The phone boasts two-way satellite connectivity, enabling real-time two-way satellite calls. It received Wi-Fi Alliance certification on June 19, confirming its satellite connectivity feature and revealing that it will operate on Android 14.
Although details on the Nubia Z60S Pro are scarce, we can look at its predecessor for some insights.
Specifications and Pricing
The Nubia Z50S Pro was priced at 3,699 Yuan (around $500). It featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and came in various configurations: 256GB with 12GB RAM, 1TB with 12GB RAM, and 1TB with 16GB RAM.
The phone showcased a 6.8" 1260 x 2800 AMOLED display with a center punch-hole selfie camera, nearly uniform bezels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
Camera and Operating System
The rear of the phone had a large circular camera island containing three cameras: a 50MP 35mm 1/1.49" main sensor with OIS, an 8MP 80mm 1/4.4" telephoto with OIS, and a 50MP 13mm 1/2.88" ultrawide without OIS.
The device ran on the company’s MyOS and launched with Android 13.
The Z60 Ultra Leading Edition
In addition to the Z60S Pro, Nubia will also introduce the Z60 Ultra Leading Edition at the event. This model is expected to feature IP68 dust and water resistance and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It will include the company's 6th generation under-screen camera technology on the front. The promotional poster also indicates that the phone will come with a substantial 6000mAh battery.
