Nubia has introduced a new iteration of the Nubia Z60 Ultra, initially released in December last year featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The updated Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version is available in Black and Silver. Below are some images to give you a better look at the design:
Design and Build
The Black version boasts a 1.15mm grating racing pattern with a 25μm micro-etching process, while the Silver model features 5μm micro-ice crystal etching along with the same 25μm micro-etching. Similar to the original model, the phone includes a sliding button on the side for various controls, including camera activation.
The device retains a boxy design akin to its predecessor, with slight modifications to the camera island. It houses a 50MP (1/1.49″) f/1.59 main camera with a 16+6P lens offering a 35mm equivalent focal length. This is accompanied by another 50MP 1/1.55″ sensor for ultrawide shots (featuring a 7P aspherical lens) and a 64MP (1/2″) sensor for 85mm equivalent (3.3x) telephoto images. All three rear cameras support OIS.
Display and Performance
The front of the device features a 6.8-inch 2.5D flexible 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 400 PPI pixel density. This display can achieve peak brightness levels of 1500 nits, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and supports 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
Powering the "Leading Version" is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the same as in the original model. The device comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage options. It also includes a 6000mAh battery with an energy density of 750Wh/L, which is stated to be a 16% improvement over standard graphite anode batteries.
Pricing and Availability
The phone is available globally for $649 for the 8GB + 256GB variant via the company's official website. The 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB options are priced at $699, $779, and $879 respectively.
